To Dream of Love for You

I dreamt I saw you dancing on the green grass.
I dreamt this was the love I always wanted.
But then I saw you fade in an opaque glass.
How could I lose you? I feel I am haunted.

There was a time once when we danced close together,
When I would feel the warmth of your breath in a kiss,
Felt passion, tingling the nape of my wretched neck.

The feeling that you were near was a gift to me,
A gem that was dear and loving, not to be lost.
I treasure every move, every whimsical smile.

I dreamt I saw you dancing on the green grass.
I dreamt this was the love I always wanted.
But then I saw you fade in an opaque glass.
How could I lose you? I feel I am haunted.

Alas, then my jealousy destroyed our perfect love.
Uncertainty became the order of my days.
So oft lonely days when I yearn for your sweet smile.

Now, I feel I'm at the edge of a deep ravine,
And there's no person ready to dry my hot tears,
I can't go on without you; it's a painful shame.

I dreamt I saw you dancing on the green grass.
I dreamt this was the love I always wanted.
But then I saw you fade in an opaque glass.
How could I lose you? I feel I am haunted.
