To Forget Love Is To Hide All Under Dust
To forget love is to cover all under dust,
even the eyes turned away to deny trust;
time brought a wind stronger than our will,
it took away dreams we thought were real!
Nothing can make us forget our passion,
how strongly we believed in some miracle;
we never said happiness was impossible:
didn't the lonely moon share our pain?
To forget love is to deny we ever existed,
we were two beautiful souls given to joy;
every sad thought quickly disappeared:
the smile of the moon shone over the bay!
Can shattered dreams be rebuilt by hope?
And we surely hoped they would somehow...
to spare tears and greet another tomorrow,
avoiding the empty promises we often broke!
To forget love is to hide all under dust,
ah, are we so heartless to tear it apart?
We shouldn't give up halfway but try harder:
what we have built can't be torn down by fear!
