Today I realized I've seen better days,
those were the days that I was holding you.
I'm here sitting looking back at it,
and it all just seems like a day dream.
It all seems like it happened yesterday,
I held you and every time I replied "I love you too".
Seemed like everything next to you I had it,
night or day dreams you're still my beautiful queen.
And I don't want anyone else with me,
I want you because you're the one that keeps me free,
and you're the one who loves me for who ever the hell I can be,
I wish that I could fix everything by just looking into your eyes and say I'm sorry.
Last night I had a dream of you and me reading a book about us with a million pages,
we weren't together,
but it seemed like we had been in love for countless ages,
us in love forever.
I know this love is not the best,
but it's true unlike most of the rest.
And I'll put my hand on my chest,
and say "I promise I'll get everything right in my head".
