Trust In Yourself

Doubt inflicts a pain lonely hearts bear, facing truths you wish would disappear. You realize fate isn't always fair, dredging up memories steeped in fear. Rejection hijacks feelings of hope, navigating shallows of darkness. And dreams morph into a safety rope, as fantasies embellish starkness. Paper dreams all too easily tear; caught in life's whirlwind of push and shove. And lies conceal a lustful affair; that no longer is tethered to love. Find your happy place, pat dry your tears; there's no need to cry; dreams can come true. Love's not as veiled as it first appears, trust in yourself; start looking anew.
