Truth
Truth
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire
There always be A..
Once upon a time
Story to tell.
It sets...
When winters were flowery
And summers were shady
There was rain
Splashing on my head
On occasion your
Conscience would ask
Did I do right ?
Was I a straw bull
Or maybe a
Cat without fur
Decisions were made
Did i bend the truth..
And circumvent
To spread my obsession
To desolate the other
To lie about the other
And condemned someone
Without their defence.
How true I see ..
Why the elephant's eye
Is always open
He does not detour
It does not hide
From truth
And get's his peace of mind.
Did I greedily take away
Those flowery winters
And shady summer's
From others.
Conscience ..
You prickly pear
I'll lie no more
Truth behold
Aways.
