Love Poem: Unspoken

Unspoken

In the quiet moments,
when the world fades away,
my heart whispers your name,
a secret wrapped in soft shadows.
It dances in the flickering light,
but my lips remain sealed,
nervous thoughts knitting themselves
into a tapestry of doubt.

Your eyes, bright and inviting,
pull me closer, yet
I stand at the edge,
afraid to leap,
afraid to disrupt the delicate silence
with the weight of my confession.

I watch you laugh,
that sound like music,
a melody I yearn to join,
but each note chokes
in my throat,
a prisoner of what-ifs and maybes,
my courage, just out of reach.

What if you see me
not as the friend who admires,
but as the heart trembling in the open,
risking everything for a chance?
The thought unfurls,
but it shrinks back,
like a flower closing at dusk,
protecting its petals from the night.

So I hold this love,
fragile and fierce,
like a delicate bird,
too precious to let fly,
yet too heavy in my chest,
a weight of unspoken words,
each day a silent prayer
For courage to break the silence,
for a future where fear can melt away,
and love is whispered openly,
in a language only we can understand.
