Valeas
You need to let me go.
Let this ink drip on empty soul.
I am past and time will flow,
erase my name and smile much more.
Time has come to show,
we can not walk backwards, to grow.
So don’t throw away whats left of home,
to be heavy over someone who’s forever gone.
I do not think no more, or fall.
I have accepted and healing, slow.
If I ever find peace, I’d let you know,
for now I’m resting, kicking stones.
For what cuts me deeper than the bones,
is I’ve lost more than I had ever owned.
I search, for what I knew made me strong,
I, no longer different, simply calm.
You need to move right on,
for we have listened to the same old song.
And though you feel you don’t belong,
just know that joy, it won’t be long.
We chose our paths and sealed our fate,
I am a stranger, just a name.
A distant face, you’re sure you’ve met,
someone you knew, a secret place.
I am one more lie, to leave your lips,
though my pride, won’t let me slip.
