Valentine Poem
Love came undaunted to touch your cheek,
pale coloring it like a new-bloomed violet ,
you smiled and then sighed so content ,
that Love will return week after week.
Alas! How can I envy such merry fellow?
He jumps from one cloud to another cloud,
Healing on my heart, wound after wound,
When I see him there from down bellow.
Who belongs to whom? Are you his or mine?
I cannot possibly tell yet I desire to know,
You will be as delighted if you also own
A heart shared with Love, My valentine?
Oh, please, answer me with just a gaze:
I love the riddle that your eyes can raise.
