Valentines Day 1998-To My Baby
Here I am...
my senior year in high school
we've been together for two
years already...
Look at me. I have my journal
in my hands opened up to
the many pages upon pages of
words written to you, my baby.
Around my neck lies the necklace
you gave me from up north. I am
laying on my baby blanket, and next
to me is the first stuffed animal
you ever gave me...
a puppy holding a rose.
This picture is so innocent and
sweet.
It is for you, and no one else.
You make me want to write books
upon books of words to show my
love for you.
You inspire me to do what is right,
follow my dreams to be a writer
one day.
Thank you or bringing happiness,
inspiration and love into my young
life. I promise to give you the gift of
forever baby. One day we will be
married, have a house and a dog.
A child we will create out of love.
I just know it will be a girl.
Daddy's little girl....
Happy Valentines Day baby!
February 14, 1998
Written to my boyfriend (now husband) for Valentines Day 1998, I was 18 and he was 20. We have been together since I was 16, and here we are 21 years later and more in love than ever. He is my soul mate and I am his. Our dream of being married, having a little girl and dog came true after all. I can't imagine my life without him, and I know he feels the same about me. It's very rare to find the kind of love we share these days, and the best part is knowing we were each other's first love and only love. Valentines Day is coming up and if you are reading this sweetheart, I love you and always will!!! (he likes to read my poems here at PS)
