Vanished Love

Love
Where have you gone?
Why have you vanished?
Please come back
You have not been banished.
The warmth, and kindness you bring
Has always filled my soul with ecstasy
And made my heart sing.

How could you leave me in the cold,
When my youth has gone, and I grow old?
Each day, I search for you in vain.
You have gone, and I cannot find you again

My life is bruised with hate’s stones.
The unfeeling flesh, and my moving bones
Stumble around in the black night of sorrow,
Hoping and praying that you will return on the morrow.

Love.
You bring meaning to this earth.
Your presence brings happiness and mirth
Spreading so far, that it is impossible to measure
The distance and effect of your thrilling pleasure.

The moment that you’ve gone, my life dies.
My heart withers and weeps.
It cries for your safe return.
It yearns for you to hold it again
And heat it with your soft warm flame.

Do you think I could possibly live without you?

Love. Please, I beg you. Please come back.
