Oh darling,
if our eyes could meet again,
they'd have conversations
that hearts could not comprehend.
We'd be stunned by the distance
sworn to tear us apart,
for gone are the times we felt like one.
I'd kiss your face, to appreciate,
all the moments, treasured 'til date.
Our past endless debates, pillow dates,
receiving great advice, you and I were divine.
I would have loved to call you "My One"
but we were three and never just us, two.
Take care of the baby
and the mother of your child,
I'm okay, I promise,
out of sight, out of mind.
You and I were a seasoned occurence,
falling for you, was never enough.
