We Had a Love
I gaze upward at the rich blue sky
sun blazing brightly in the vastness.
Madness has loomed over doomed memories
playing all round watching replay over and over.
If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah
We had a love, a love, a love you don't find every day
I never felt such love for another,
warm love all around we had none other.
I deserve happiness and the love
of a man who would cherish all of me.
If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah
We had a love, a love, a love you don't find everyday
Sadness clog my throat, taking more than I'm willing to give.
My heart shattered, whatever love we had
between us is fading. The anguish to great, to raw
leaving a scar that will never heal but stripped away.
If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah
We had a love, a love, a love you don't find everyday
