Love Poem: Wear Me Out

Wear Me Out

I've had this old sweater
For many a year
I want you to have it
Like you, it's so dear

I've worn it in winter
In spring and in fall
It's the first choice I go to
When a chill comes to call

It smells like cologne
The kind that I wear
Acqua di Gio
My favorite fare

It may be too big
But that's quite alright
You'll always be cozy
It'll wrap you up tight

My old well-worn sweater
It's not much to see
But if you do wear it
Will you think of me?

I can't give you much
And we both know why
But take my old sweater
To remember me by
