When Forever Calls
And when forever calls my name
To leave the garden of my life
For one last stroll along the path
For one last look at what I’ve grown
I’ll smile with happiness and joy
For every flower that I see
Each one a symbol of the love
Of every person that I’ve known
Perhaps grandmother’s yellow rose
To start my journey’s reverie
Will be in blossom once again
So beautiful in every way
For friends, the daffodils I count
So many I am blessed to see
My family, sunflowers bear
To celebrate this special day
Though bittersweet to say goodbye
As earthly flowers ebb and flow
Believing in great love ahead
I’ll know that it is time to go
