When Love Isn’t Love
She says,
I’m with you right now,
But don’t hope for forever,
Because today and tomorrow aren’t the same.
She says,
I’ll walk with you for a while,
But don’t think we’re headed to the same place,
Because the journey and the destination are different.
She says,
It’s just my nature to make everyone happy,
Don’t mistake it for love,
Because liking someone and loving them aren’t the same.
She says,
I don’t mind talking to you every day,
But don’t think you’re too close to my heart,
Because there’s a difference between a habit and an addiction.
Then, running her fingers from the corners of my eyes to my hair,
She softly says,
“You look really handsome today,”
But don’t think I’m crazy about you,
Because feeling something and losing yourself in it aren’t the same.
