When the Heart Cries
When the heart cries, the eye wells up
When the heart bleeds, the eye blinds out
For release of tethered emotions piled up
Emotions nurtured within and without
When the heart cries, the eye shudders
From deep bitterness that aches the heart’s kindness
Bitterness nurtured on a beloved shoulder
In a restive quest for tenderness
When the heart cries, the eye sheds tear
From wounds of reckless love
Incubated and nurtured out of fear
The heart cries when out of love
When the heart cries, the eye ails
Groping in the blindness stupor
Strong emotions pile up along love rail
Calm as a child in dreamless slumber
When the heart like the stomach
Fractiously takes in without fill
Well up like balloon stock after stock
Yet it rambles for more still
When the heart cries, the eye yells
From jejune responses to her neediness
When the heartfelt is within the heart walls
When the heart has known no bitterness
When the heart cries, the eye cries
For restitution of her juvenile love and kindness
In those days when trees were evergreen
When breeze swayed the trees in gentle kindness
