Ignoring whispered words of truth;
you blindly stumble within life's maze.
Shedding the innocence of youth;
embers erupt into a blaze.
Pulled in different directions;
you find it difficult to cope.
And as you sever connections,
faith slides down a slippery slope.
You feel imprisoned by your pain;
suffering life's tribulations.
And yet, you'd do it all again,
without any trepidations.
Love has no predictable norms;
a tickle morphs into a scream.
Yet, despite emotional storms,
hope inspires timid souls to dream.
