Whispers In the Willows
Close your eyes my love
and let your imagination run wild;
for hear me whisper such beauty
in your ear,
hear the whispers in the willow trees,
as they sway from side to side;
as the rolling, green hill faces
smile at us,
as I kiss you upon the cheek,
as we hold hands my sweet,
as I pick a thousand roses for you
and we go to the willow tree
and rest awhile,
listening to the whispering wind,
sing a sound with the willow trees.
Here the chimes tanging
and listen close to "I love you,"
catch it fast and hold on to it,
close to your heart,
and hear it beat to the sound of a drum
deep in your breast.
Hear me my love,
smell those roses I pick for you,
it shall surpass that my love is true,
listen to the whispers of my heart,
that I direct toward you,
My sweet rose,
my lovely babe,
my darling daisy,
my violet,
my lilac,
my willow tree, which sings a song of love
with the whispers of the wind,
and the soft whispers of my heart.
