Whispers of Shadows
I dwell where shadows hide behind your window,
Whispering secrets, silent and unseen,
Or walk alone beneath the rowan tree,
As trees splinter leaves with summer joy.
When the walls of dusk descend, twilight’s descent,
Casting its somber grasp upon the land,
My spirit, deeply entrenched in earthly clay,
Seeks refuge within nature’s divine command.
I bide my time, a thief in the night, to steal your love,
A covert pursuit through the fabric of time and space,
Beyond verdant fields and fertile soil,
Where passion blossoms with enchanting grace.
Here, love is enshrouded within shadowed shores,
A hidden trove, a treasure buried deep in the sand,
Yet within the abyss of longing’s embrace,
Hope persists, forever clutched within my hand.
As the summer sun caresses the foliage with warmth,
Fragmented rays of light frolic in playful delight,
But clouds betray their fleeting mirth,
Concealing the truth that yearns to take flight.
Within this dance of shadows and light,
Love’s quest persists, unyielding, unafraid,
For even through the darkest, starless night,
Eternal ardor burns, undimmed, unswayed.
