Whispers Of The Gone

Empty room, echoes of your laughter,
A warm photograph, a faded smile,
Dust motes dancing in the fading light.
A dried flower from a special occasion,
Its petals brittle, memories frail.
A ghost of your touch lingers on my skin,
A phantom scent of your favorite perfume.
My heart, a hollow cavern, aches with your absence,
Each beat a painful reminder of what's lost.
The world feels muted, colors turned to gray,
Since you walked away, taking the sun with you.
The taste of ancient tears, bitter and cold,
A constant ache, a story untold.
Nature mirrors my despair, a barren tree,
Reaching for warmth, eternally.
A lone bird calls, a mournful plea,
Echoing the emptiness inside of me.
And in this silence, I'm left with nothing,
Just the ghost of your desperate words, forever haunting.
