Whispers On Your Skin
Whispers On Your Skin
Sometimes in my mind I go
where never have I been.
Slipping quietly into your room
like whispers on your skin.
I watch as you lay sleeping
I join you in your dreams.
Sailing over mountains
skipping across streams.
Counting stars up in the skies
that we can almost touch.
How can something never known
still be missed so much?
That's the way it feels to me
and this place I've never been.
Somehow I know from deep inside
I'm returning once again.
Like pictures in a magazine
of a far and distant shore.
A place you never heard of
yet you've been there before.
So many things for me unseen
I long to see again.
Slipping quietly in your room
like whispers on your skin.
