Who Is Stealing My Poems
When writing a poem for you
Even about you, or you and me
I stare at the birds and peck a sound
I walk in the woods to smell the evening scent
I read Shakespeare and Songs of Solomon
I go to the waterfall behind the hill
And watch the beaming hips
Of the rainbow formation
Twerking on the rocks
I close my eyes and search for dreams
I touch my heart by the left for beats
I smile at flower vendors and look away
I harvest all the fertile words
And keep in my loving basket
I Piece them to match the style
That each word begets
I rehearse them and talk to my lip
And I start feeling you feeling
Each word touching everywhere
Till you collapse in my arms
Then I rescue you
What is wrong, now?
Whenever you come
And I look into your eye
I check my secret basket and find it empty
I collapse instead of you and fade
Someone keeps stealing my poem
Who is stealing my poems?
