Why
Why?
why was I placed upon this earth?
is there a reason for my birth?
Did God create me so I would defy him?
Was it His Will that I could deny Him?
Why do some people pray to empty statues?
Why are some places sacred and others not?
Why do some religious people hate?
People die every day
from war, hunger, poverty, disease, and illness
People silently pray
and yet their fate remains the same
Why wasn't I given a choice to say No? Do not create me
I'd rather not be as I am
Instead, make me a star no one can see
Hidden in the darkest parts of space with a deep purple hue
Hidden from my life and every moment I felt or knew
Hidden from everyone I loved her so true.
