With Love I Plead
As soft eyes, reflect a desperate need.
each subtle breath, exhaled in loneliness.
tender hearts can’t endure, such weariness.
the tone of your voice, carries urgency.
from chains of sorrow, a heart must be freed.
though the world seems devoid of earnestness.
this isn’t a world, fill with gloominess.
through this sonnet with love, to you I plead.
How can I prove, my love for you is real?
what words of love will stop, the tears you cry?
what deed, will ease the sadness in your eyes?
place your hand upon my heart, you will feel.
the rhythm of a love, that longs to heal.
to remove the burdens, which make you sigh.
to release your spirit, so you can fly.
to know your love, my heart with joy, would reel.
