Because all of the characters who live in Whoville land
eat colorful eggs there. (But no green eggs for Sam I Am!)
My friend is Yertle, whose house is his shell.
He has learned not to want to rule all pretty well.
I talk with Horton who says he hears a Who (or two).
Horton champions small creatures showing us Whos are true!
All 91 of us thank Dr. Seuss who brought us to life
So we could tackle problems, like teach how to beat strife.
We teach compassion and joy that makes us sing.
We help children learn, with funny characters, what love can bring.
