You Never Gave Me a Chance
I knew you from a distance
I would have never believed
You were just going through the motions
I would have never guessed
How you could have been so far gone
To want to end it all
So drastically
It was summer time
How could everything have seemed
So dark and hopelessly miserable
How could you not have seen
The many doors and options within your reach
The people around you who cared
Who were interested in you
How could you not have seen me
I was interested in knowing you
Finding out about you, playing the game
And you didn’t give me a chance
You were already that far gone
What could have made you so blind
So tired of all the options and the games
