You Were
Now, just a memory in time
I still see your smile
imagine your laugh,
strain to hear your thoughts,
wanting to touch your face,
feel you in my arms
just once more;
you were
heartbeats pulsating,
each and every breath;
blush upon my cheek,
feathered kisses on my lips;
longing, aching innate desires,
resonating on the wind,
spring and summer breeze;
you were
floating with the clouds,
calm before the storm,
warm inviting beneath the sun;
autumn leaves in full-color palettes,
crimson passion, precious silver and gold
winter innocence walking in the snow;
you were
indescribable in words
flowing in a waltz of rhythmic poetry,
silence in the night
embracing feeling, touch, emotions,
laughter in a dream
awakened by reality
you were
my everything.
