Your Shared Embrace
Warm Embrace, I remember clear of such,
My body helpless at your touch,
You voiced three words into thine ear,
And courage shyed in veil of fear.
You rest a hand beneath my jaw,
As staring through your eyes, I saw,
A flame, strong lit, though burning near,
A stream, from sourced, a single tear.
Though fought, did I, and braved from light,
To shield raw truth in shadowed night.
My foolish heart did render cares,
With great valour, I'd forced to bare.
And when my mind, to real returned,
I'd ventured from the blaze unburned.
Though as our lips came forth and met,
My soul was tortured with regret.
Unfortunate, impared was one, my sight, a theif had taken,
And locked, within his fiendish thoughts, from trance, I'd not awaken.
Four years had flown, sweet memory formed,
Which time could tell, I was to mourn.
And morrow was, the dawn you aged,
The day this traitor's traits were shamed.
While thoughts of gift rare in one's head,
Then so of how we should been wed.
I went and bought a thing of gold,
To remind you, we weren't ever old.
Our lives together, a bud of rose,
Though path of guilt, of which you chose.
For as I made my way for home,
I conjured kingdoms, as one, we'd roam.
King or Queen, we neither were,
As warm embrace, you shared with her.
