You'Re Telling Me To Run But There's Nowhere To Go
You're all screaming at me,
To do this and do that.
Telling me to run, and telling me to stay.
I don't know where to run and there's nowhere to hide.
There isn't somebody whose gunna pick me up.
I'd fall down into a pit, and would never return,
And maybe somebody would notice.
If you want me to run, then please let me come,
To a hiding place where I can stay warm.
Give me comfort and give me a home,
Give me some balance, and don't let me fall.
I'm standing on wire, and it's growing thin.
I know this is the time to run.
I can't take this place,
I can't stand it here.
And maybe I love you not.
I depend on you like a junkie on the needle,
And there really is no love with that.
It's all just a facade, a silly dream,
And it's turning into my worst nightmare.
So, won't somebody just take my hand,
And lead me somewhere into the unknown.
Hold me tightly, and whisper into my ear,
"Everything is going to be ok."
And of course I'll say, "How do you know?"
And you'll wipe my tears, "Just don't cry."
And I'd give you my world, and everything left inside,
Because you were the one who told me to run and hide...
