Limbo's Child

My girlfriend has a girlfriend
as pigeons flee the roost
Pronouns crying God knows what
knots are coming loose

I was my girlfriend’s boyfriend
when lines unblurred defined
My love abeyant, Limbo’s child
—left here misaligned

A Select Few

A Select Few Tom Wright Archives A few times in my lifetime, I’ve been blessed by the presence of those whom God has ushered into a common trail. These wonderful people caused me to search my soul, challenged my thinking, and caused abeyant, creative juices to flow; perhaps they came to me out of obedience to God’s urging. Thanks can never be considered payment enough; but should you be one of these, my gift to you is friendship, undying loyalty, and love, for lingering with me therein. Tom I’m not overly impressed with what some say they now But quiet deeds that come to light impress me so. Tom

Memories Chill

Love fades away
life goes on
Music divorcing
 words to a song

Into the darkness
into the night
Melody orphaned
absent the light

Love fades away
time stands still
Harmonies vagrant
 memories chill

Voices celestial
echo alone
Love once abeyant
—life is disowned
