Red Light

have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
lonely as ever
visible at night, useless by day?

in sync with its partner next door
for a quick kiss over a few flashes only
then arguing again and again
night in, night out.

have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
not signaling a warning to keep away
but sending a call for compassion?

using the dark pauses in between
to yell the same name
over and over and over
into the emptiness of each night.

have you ever felt like
the flashing red light on the roof,
being your silent cry
only heard by your eternal love?

If You Only Knew

If you only knew how i felt about you
You wouldn't treat me like you do
If you love me like you say
Why do we get to arguing everyday
I guess thats the way love goes
No one ever really knows
If you want me,take me
It's the only way you'll get me maybe
I have a lot of things on my mind
But you seem to have me in a bind
That doesn't mean you have me on lock
That just means no one can block
The love i have for you is power
It just don't come and go in a hour
You got some really good i guess you think you do
But only if you knew

Unicorn Sandwich

What do you want for lunch?
A unicorn sandwich.
Okay. What’s in it?
A unicorn, silly.
With peanut butter?
Rapid head nod.
And an Oreo?
Sure.
In the sandwich or next to it?
We have had it both ways.
You choose.
Okay.
Inside is usually better, so I push it onto the peanut butter.
I love talking to myself.
Because there is not
As much
Arguing.
You
Shut up.
No.
YOU shut up!

Prisoner

I don't believe in getting angry
and arguing over things
yet there are people who do sadly
as does a bee that stings

why can't people be friends
and love as the Bible says
instead a relationship ends
tis what it does

are we doomed to this behavior
or will it one day lend
finding success and not failure
in the message we send

weary as I walk alone
in my reasoning
though heavy I carry the stone
tired as I'm weakening

soon strength I'll regain
as time passes through
and joy will remain
for now my time is due

Relate To Me

Like it or not we all are one
That came to planet earth as one
Arguing and fighting this maybe
But in the end we find harmony

We are brothers and sisters
Who can’t seem to agree
That God is the one who can set us free
Your blood flows through me

And mine through you
Like it or not I am a part of you
We have turned sex into something bad
We kill each other without one thought

What have we done to ourselves
Believe this or not but here is a thought
Why can’t we just love each other
Brothers and Sisters I leave you with this

Stop fighting and bring peace and harmony

Painting the Picture of True Love

Doing the laundry
Picking up your children’s toys
Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner
Mowing the lawn
Going to work each day and providing for your family
Making sure your wife’s car is safe for her to dive
Kissing each other before either one leaves
Holding hands
Arguing and making up
Worrying about each other

Last:
Caring for each other until death

The Road To Greatness

THE ROAD TO GREATNESS

The road to greatness lies in serving others
LOVE begets LOVE
That is Gods way

Complaining and arguing make no sense at all
Controlling our anger we stumble and fall
Strive to become blameless and pure
Shining stars in the universe obeying God’s call

The road to greatness lies in serving others
LOVE begets LOVE
That is Gods way

Family of E-Motions

loving and long hugs
embracing me on sad days
holding me, so close

arguing all day
saying I love you at night
truely liking me
when I am not likeable
taking the bad with the good

could not thank enough
for your overflow of love
even to my soul

Makin Love

To you makin love

Is all I want to do

No arguing no fighting

Just sweet love that is so delighting

Just us two to do the do

To you makin love

Is all I want to do

Let’s get it on get it on

Turn off the TV

Turn off the phone

Light some candles

So we can get tangled

In this mix there are triangles

Not three sides to this but two

Bring the oil and rub me down

And I’ll rub you down too

And we’ll play the rest by ear

All I want is you here

And to you makin love

Is what I’ll do.

Half Term Blues

The fruit of my loins are ne'er done, sleep is
Just not an option worth considering.
They much prefer the notion of ploughing
Right on. Through the wall, and not thinking
About consequences, meaning they're fore'er
Fighting and arguing and arguing
And fighting. Just one... Just one day without
Rows would be a blessing. It's not that I
Don't love them. I do love them. Of course I
Love them. They are everything to me.

Things To Do In 2022

Things to do in 2022
Breathe in – breathe out
Listen more – talk less
Pay attention
To the needs of the undemanding
Look people in the eyes
(it’s all you can see nowadays)

Breathe in – breathe out

Curb my dog – and my tongue
Soften my sharp edges
Trim my nose hairs - frequently
Tell people I love them
Even though they know it
Stop arguing with inanimate objects
And

Breathe in – breathe out

Message To a Pharmaceuticals King

You’re such a nasty bugger,
You slumming, scheming lout,
No conscience or misgiving,
No arguing about!

And when next time I see you,
Sucking on the poor, I’ll give to
You no quarter, you shameless
Writhing whore.

To you people are just profits,
You stinking rotten rat,
I’d love to squash your laurels
With my old ash cricket bat!

Drugs are for the sick, not
For pockets to be lined,
To be in this type of business,
You really must be kind

So take your profit margins
And income streams and like,
And point yourself at nearest cliff
While tied on to your bike

HURRAH!

Charlene

I know that we have had tough times
as most moms and daughters do
the arguing , fighting and silent treament
well you know what we have been through
But we also have had many great times
cuddling ,laughing and carrying on
like the time we got all goofy
and wrestled on the front lawn.
Now your sixteen and a little more mature
friends, boyfriends and parties are of more interest
so goofing around and cuddling are far and few
but that's just how life is and how a teen should be
I just thought writing this for you would let you know
how much I love you and give me a chance to tell you
you mean the world to me.

Adult Love

Saying I love you every single day
Kissing on the streets like we don't care
Fighting in public like nobody else is there

Jealousy, crying asking who is she
I just want you to be for me
You are mine and forever you will be

That what happens when you are young
I can't believe I was told that

Now I'm In different type of Love
When he holds me, he says it all

No jealousy needed
Between us, there is a blind trust

No fighting at 3 am
When we sleep, we hold hands

No arguing all night long
Issues are there, we discuss

When he looks in my eyes
I know he is the one

You are my real love
You are my adult love

Arguing With God

Why do we argue with God? Do we have reasons or doubts? Is this not an act of outright defiance? Yes, indeed! God is God We have an omnipotent, all powerful Compassionate and understanding God But why do we go against Him? Let us mend our ways Then, adore, praise and love Him the most Let us be unwavering BELIEVE in Him toward the end! When we are vulnerable, unhappy and hopeless Or when we feel we have come and conquered all odds In any situation; TRUST in Him Rest assured, HE will do the rest.

A Precious Glimpse

Rambling rants of a disturbed mind
genius in his day, one of a kind
fighting against some archenemy
flailing and arguing continuously
family visit heartbroken
in their eyes, no need to be spoken
on a good day he just ignores
their presence, one of his chores
on a bad day swearing and cursing
a painted smile they've been rehearsing
the man they knew is long gone
but in their soul, his memory shone
they keep hoping for a breakthrough
a precious glimpse of the person they knew

Do You Like To See Me Cry

We wernt arguing,
I got a boyfriend,
and a wonderful boyfriend he is,
but then,
after a week of me being actually happy,
I guess you must have hated it,
Becasue again,
You went,
And ruined my life,
You started back up the arguments everyday,
Your making my life about homework and nothing else,
You yell at me about nothing.
Your never fair.
Its like you love to see me cry.
Its like you hate to see my happy,
And you just love to see the pain..

One Love

They woke me
I listen, voices loud, louder
arguing with each other
my ears ring
then all the demons stop
speak to me, all of them
worthless, addicted, vain
destined for happy? snickers
no woes just abstain? laughter
go kill yourself!
my thoughts hide away
bullied and drained
I put my ear phones in
chill on Bob Marley
“One Love, One Love, lets....”
bloodcurdling screams
sound of demons slain
I’m smiling, hum along, “feel alright”

The Argument

Half your time is arguing,
that God does not exist.
The other time, when good for you,
your name is on his list.

Yes it's true that God is love,
and he loves you despite your sin.
But don't use his name in vain,
if you don't believe in him.

It's also true that sin is sin,
but the goal is to abstain.
Though he loves you, he's not happy,
with your lack of refrain.

Though it thrills my heart to see,
the times you do believe.
Consider his book from front to back,
Excerpts tend to mislead.

A Hundred Poems - Xci

I cannot recommend but say
the playground of gray
six feet deep away
is a pleasant stay

I have my rocking horse
a sunburned metal toy
burns my feet -- anyway
my eyes are tears today

There's a noise across
the fine lined trees
me thinks -- adults
arguing with death's love

I sway today in gray
fixed feet -- above
tis a pleasant blue-sky
Adults are dead children

We change that much

Wake Up Ya All

Ignorant people blind to truth
believing lying media
Wake up America!
Truth is right before your eyes!!
USA stinks of propaganda
brainwashing your every thought
TV full of hypnotic crap
Who gives a damn about the Kardashians!
Hey girls you gotta look pretty
being fat is unacceptable!
Open your legs give some prick your virginity
no room for traditional chastity
President is a puppet to his evil masters
every state is heading towards a disaster
Thanksgiving and we are all full of love
When holiday season is over back to normal
Arguing and fighting over stupid things
So hear me ya all, the political elite are after you
only happy until you die and bleed!

The Last Is Always

The Last Is Always Cause and effect in Bill Murray's movie, A catastrophic result--not groovy, Seems to resonate from inner cities, Rural towns, family ties less risky. Envision a world sensing an accord, Attempts to reunite, oneness reward, Scenes of rejoicing, gatherings displayed, Mournful treasures, a waterfall cascade. Unusual disturbances, no doubt, Impressive emotional scenes, about. Fighting, arguing, just death and mayhem, Kissing, hugging, harmony, and amen. These couple synopses yield those extremes, Drawing something among nightmares and dreams. 2019 August 19 *2nd Place* What if there was no tomorrow ~~Silent One

Leman Strife

Twenty cigarette ashes in the ivory ashtray
Symbol of the impatience burned as smoke
The inamorata sits in the pink chaise lounge
Waiting for inamorato arriving to love nest

Photos found under the bed tied off an arguing
Another affair developed without her knowledge
Feeling betrayed, although fidelity was not an asset
Stripped photos and dispersed pieces over the bed

Inamorato opened the bedroom door and screamed
Hidden dalliance loomed as as a storm in the future
Reproaches ended with the rupture of unlawful love
Leaving forever the tormentous and sinful romance

Children of Today

Children of today
Have a lot to say
Always arguing and talking back
Showing the respect
They all lack

Difficult to keep
Difficult to give up
Loving them you must
Until they turn to dust

Children are like candies
Some are sweet
Some are sour
Mood changes from hour to hour

Children
you must not give up
On them
Fiercely showing them love
Will keep
Their heads above

I Say Nothng To These Vultures

At eighty my beloved grandma began buying insane, whimsical things.
Filling her house up with all kinds of feathers, glitter, and bedazzled stuff.
We’ll have to have a garage sale and get rid of it when she is gone.
Or have a bonfire. Lots of laughter.

One of her favorite pieces is her new cake plate.
Polka dotted with a variety of bright colors.
Decorated with enormous red roses.
I love it way too much.

She brings it out for every birthday.
And some un-birthdays too.
I say nothing to these vultures though.
The second you say you like something they begin arguing about it.
These are not easy people.
