You Took My Place

Amazing love,
Amazing grace,
You gave Your life,
You took my place.
I should have died,
On Calvary's tree,
But You stepped in,
And died for me.

What can I say?
What can I do?
To show my love,
My gratitude?
To You my Lord,
My Savior King,
For becoming my
Sin offering?

Here is my heart,
Here is my soul,
Come Lord Jesus,
Take control.
The old is gone,
You've made me new.
You died for me,
I'll live for you.

To Love You Upon My Last Breath

When the last rain drop has fallen and final word has been spoken. When mercy is no longer our saviour, remember, each time your heart beats, with every sigh on the tip of your tongue, my only wish was to forever love you, stronger than the light that shone at sunrise, warmer than the rays from that golden orb, more powerful than the radiance of the moon and with greater devotion than the stars.

Critical Liaisons

A poets dream, she'll seduce with her eyes, pens will desire to praise her charming guise, but be cautious, she'll treat you like her book, explore each chapter with her detailed look. Drain your ink, smoking pages in to fire, drink your spirit like blood thirsty vampire. But now it seems she may have met her match, a poet who's heart, she's struggling to snatch. He holds scriptures, she's never read before, each musing, leaves her yearning to feel more. A heart breaker, who gives no man a chance, dream maker, who leaves women in a trance. A modern day Samson and Delilah - spiritual soulmate who could tame her.

Life

I asked to my father
Baba, What is life?
He politely said to me, "Life is Duty ."

I asked to my mother
Maa, What is life?
She said to me with smile, "Life is Responsibility ."

I asked to my teacher
Sir, What is life?
He said to me with love, "Life is Education ."

I asked to my spiritual master
Gurujee, What is life?
He said to me with confidence, "Life is Devotion ."

Today my son who reads in class nine
Asked me
Babai, What is life?
I have said to him, "Dear, You are my life ."

(Father means BABA, BABAI and Mother means MAA in Bengali language. Gurujjee means spiritual master in Indian society)

The Wait

No end where love's found
no beginning, though there must've been
I can't recall, seems it was always there
going on and on..

No life better known, restless like the forest
hearts awaken at new sight and sound
teasing I see, so pleasing..
two corners lifting at your mouth.

You can go on now, find me..
the place you always knew
waiting, silent as a stone
body and soul lost to you.

A place with no beginning
no tomorrows, nor sorrows
we'll leave them at the gate.
Oh my love, I can't breathe,
can hardly bear the wait.

Forbidden Freedom, first ever Collaboration with the Silent One

If "we" are a sin,
Why is my heart bleeding for you?
Why is my soul screaming out your name?

Chained by the links of horrors that hold me against you,
Towered high up above the ground,
Little did they know I'd crumble every bone just for you.
I would not wish such adversity upon my adversaries, such as the animosity which chastises our hearts.

Every precious petal in my garden has turned black, waiting for your lips to rejuvenate their vibrant hues.

Why must love be cursed by society's blindness,
or has Cupid's ignorance plagued our forbidden fate. Maybe death is the only freedom for our devotion

To James

We walk in the ocean against the tide.
We hold on tightly to survive the ride.

This life is not easy
This love not in vain
We try to walk closer
We try to sustain

There are times when our hold breaks
And one of us will fall.
But the other stands near wanting and waiting to answer their lovers call.

The sun comes out briefly through the dark gloomy skies.
We know it won't last but our hope never dies.
This is a rough road that we lead in life.
But there'll never be a day
I regret being your Wife!

Call It Love

The night it is barren
from inland to the sea
but I am the one who loves you
you are not alone.

Tonight the sky is empty
stars fall in the sea
I am the light to guide you
do not wish to be alone.

If the world becomes deserted
all eyes you see are sad
I will smile for you
you will never be alone.

Sleeping I dreamed you
awake I keep dreaming
I dream because you love me
and I am not alone.

It is sometimes madness
a longing absentee
call it love
and we are not alone...

What Is Love

What is Love

Trust - unconditionally in that someone special.
Faith - and devotion through divine destiny.
Contentment - in knowing love is equally reciprocated.
Soul connection - that tethers a couple together forever.

My Goddess I Am Your Missionary

Tell me how may I show you devotion? No words are left in this dictionary. Which fool said love is just an emotion? My Goddess, I am your missionary. The essence of time is not eternal, but my adoration is evergreen. You are a flower that is nocturnal. Alive in every season - nature's queen. When adversity knocks upon your door, let me soothe your misery and sorrow. Does not matter if we are rich or poor, I will provide a better tomorrow. Come lose yourself in desire and passion. Our romance will invent a new fashion.

Thy Silent Thoughts

Thy Silent Thoughts

So beautiful are thy silent thoughts
I would watch thine eyes all day.
There is wonder in them, as the sun's first flash
Through tumult of ocean spray;
In them the shining calm of upland pools
Mirrors the glory round,
And their shadows are the shadows of sweet flowers
Upon the summer ground.
So beautiful are thy silent thoughts
I would watch thine eyes all day;
More beauteous in their silence than the stars,
Than the silent stars, are they.

Love Again a Collaboration With Maurice Yvonne

devotion unveiled
the fisherman casts his line
his heart now possessed

curves carved in pleasure
chiseled spine traced by touch
love stripped to the bone

flaws etched precisely
he frees an internal scream
she opens her heart

her essence absorbed
two souls artistic beauty
a match written in stone

Naked Souls

Naked souls...
Find in each other a kindred spirit
That speaks divinely, without words.
Auras coalesce in euphoric passions
Warming hearts and bodies
That rise to ethereal heights.
Sentient beings aware of the gift
Love employs to infinite degrees,
Valuing the depths of harmonic harmony.
Let sunrise penetrate its heavenly hues
In veneration of nature connecting
With the psyche, intuitive of karmic
Laws in recompense of past regrets.
Unveil the opaque shrouds that keep
Truth occult by delivering the naked soul.

I Don'T Write Poems

I don’t write poems,
I drink them like wine,
I become tipsy
with each coming line.

I don’t write poems,
I breathe them like air,
I become so happy
when each one I share.

I don’t write poems,
I live with them;
they prolong my years,
they are as true as I am.

I don’t write poems,
I weave into verses
sadness, joy, tears,
prayers, love, curses…

My poems talk and sing,
Sense of living they bring.

Martha's Poem

I will love you like tomorrow Like the days that come to me Like the warmth of summer sunshine Like a wind that blows me free To hear the song of nightingales Beneath a crescent moon To share each simple pleasure On a rainy afternoon In the silence of a morning Deep within a restless sea Walking through the darkness And with everything in me For every precious moment That lives in effigy Love will grow within my soul To reach eternity And when we gather moonbeams After twilight steals the hours, Sleep with me through endless days Among a sea of midnight flowers.

If You Love Her

Listen to her with all of you
   Your fists clenched
   Your lips together
Your head moving, slightly, side to side

Perched on the edge of your seat
   Tilt your spine forward

Search for the soul deep within her eyes
   Gently ... Don't frighten her

Make her feel she is the most important person in the whole world
Nothing else matters except what she is telling you

Hear what is in her voice
   Her interests ... become yours

Capture her heart
   Never let it go

At a Crossroads a Poet Is Born

I hold my papers and pen
not a poetry to write
it is the school year again
one other journey in time.

My ever burning concern
would my words find their way
as all my candles I burn
to meet yearning faces each day.

A thirst for light in young hearts
I lend my soul, the blanks I fill
and then a whole story starts
quenching feels would be a thrill.

When my pupils take my notes
would they read devotion in many a line
my fear, a quote or a word floats
my quill unveiled in heart shrine.

I hold my pen with great zeal
two paths I walk, a heart is torn
my love how can I conceal
at a crossroads, a poet is born.

What Font Type the Heart

Who was it that first said..
'the eyes are the window to the soul'..
who's eyes did they envision..
and how did they know?

And what of sweet wetted fingers that comb..
to straighten this messed heart cowlick I own.

Few well paired wanderlust seek a divine pardon..
still fancy the folly of youth's far flung travels.
Two trespass meadow lost to petal lined garden,
til intimacy's last mystery unravels.

Darting dawn awakes to write upon love's torn page..
parting drawn in true type font in spite of heart's age.

The Luckiest Man

The Luckiest Man

I have found that not everyone is as strong
As the skies are wide and the days are long

But in life I have found there is this one
Whose bounty makes me feel as warm as the sun

And from the moment that she first caught my eye
I knew I’d be with her til’ the day that I die

That I would love and cherish her all the day through
And do all those little things we men are supposed to do

And spend my days lost in utter bliss
That I had this beautiful woman to kiss

And there’s one true fact ‘bout her being my girl
That makes me the luckiest man in the world

Hope

Don't rush to wash off the sea salt
drying on your skin;
the hopes it carries from other oceans,
those remain yet to be seen.

The Rose

Once bloomed a rose so young and fair
With dark brown eyes and long black hair

Beside her be a tall dark tree
Whose branches stretch to smother thee

Too close beside the shadowy bark
That soon begins to leave its mark

She cries for help, but none shall hear
Her thorns too sharp, who’d dare go near?

To save this rose, who’d risk their life?
With naught to gain but pain and strife

Alone, afraid, she lays to rest
Her heart beats low inside her chest

And with the hour growing near
She sheds her final grieving tear

And so the rose soon falls asunder
Her final day, eternal slumber

She lies beside the old dark tree
The only one who mourns for thee

Wind

The wind rustles your hair as the sun brings joy .

It tells your secrets and they are well kept.

They go where it is needed turning gracefully.

Will you dance again?

What about your joy?

Its buried now and your hair is gone.

Birds dancing and your bare arms reach for me.

Saves the last dance.

I love your cold breath and the heat.

Your almost home.

But you will leave as before.

Dance for me.

Lost My Song

When in this life I felt down
You were the one that was around

Maybe it was the way you held my hand
I knew in my heart you would understand

I miss the way we used to sit and talk
The times we didn't look at the clock

The way you walked in those tight jeans
Made me want to pull my skin and scream

I remember trembling at your touch
I love and loved you so very much

I am lost inside now you're gone
Baby you are still my life's song

When I look to the night sky, I tear
I miss you and wish you were here

Beauty In My Palm

You are the wild flower in my palm
With no stem to keep you anchored to this covetous earth
You are the fragile thing I dare not cup,
As your petals whittle away under the wind
And flit unfettered in the air;
Exaggerated fear leaves my fingers numb
Hungry need leaves my fingers twitching
And my hand is paralyzed by turmoil
As every breath of wind takes another petal from me
And brings to my lungs, my chest and my heart
An overwhelming scent of need-

You are the wild beauty in my palm
And I dare not hold you to my chest
For I fear to crush you
To know first hand
That caged beauty, is beauty no more.
