Love's Reflection

Love neither gives or takes but from itself. Be not wiled by fantasies of arrogance. Take no more than is offered by yourself. Leave nothing trapped in tortured irrelevance. Seek not a barter for desires that sue your heart. Worthiness is the only tender that comes due. Suffer willingly the melody of pain it may impart. Bleed joyfully from the wounds that will ensue. As tree branches lift their hopes towards Heaven's door, hands together reaching higher than alone will seek heights that love's imagination most beautifully implores that from a poets words unending ecstasy must speak. Whatever you desire your life to be, may loves reflection be all you see

The Sum of a Life

This life we're living
Is so unforgiving
Reminding us every day
Of games that we played
Choices we made
Dreams that faded away
Paths that were crossed
Loved ones we've lost
Still promising a brighter tomorrow
When that promise is broken
Our wounds rip back open
Leaving hope to drown in deep sorrow

From our very first breath
We're stalked by death
We live our lives in fear
Knowing well it won't last
So we live loose and fast
Look up and the days have become years
We add peace, subtract strife
Find the sum of a life
Discover we've love left for giving
Love that goes wasted
On the bitterness tasted
In a life so unforgiving

Don'T Skip a Beat

Love knows no age or beauty Love knows no rich or poor Love knows no religion or race Love knows no straight or gay Love knows no boundary or reason Love knows no distance or time Love knows only the rapid beating of a giving heart sublime

Spiritual Law

Spiritual law of attraction: one can only receive by giving. One has to become love, if to know love for reception. What we hold in our consciousness is who we are and what we attract. Walls are all we think we know...better to live from a clean slate. Letting go opens our hands (hearts) for spiritual grasping. We are born dying obviously. It is not for death but our only way to life. It is illusion, the doorway not empty, not a space to pass through, but, in fact, a dimension of less encumbered being~ one dies to live dies to live...there is never lives to die. No darkness in creation...if anything, there is only self keeping out the light.

Bit of Truth and Wisdom, Found In Old Age

Bit Of Truth And Wisdom, Found In Old Age

At that age wisdom says life is a joke
consider blindness of other poor folk.
Stop to ponder why on earth we exist
you may just find giving on that big list.

To live well, love hard and thus procreate
easy to see easier to relate.
Living life together with your soulmate
should be a part of everybody's Fate!

Finding life is not about what you got
should be holding solid, number one spot
Tis more about life lived well and deeper
with one you found, knew to be a keeper

If long life, happiness is your great aim
if reaching not for it, you are to blame!

The Other Half

I search the skies for a signal, a sign, of hope, of trust, of promise amongst the celestial beauty. Is it in the setting sun that warms like the giving of your heart? Is it in the glistening stars that sparkle like the twinkle in your eyes ? Is it in the comets that streak across the sky like that smile streaking across your face? Oh it must be the half-moon such beauty and grace glowing for all to see. For you are the other half The one that completes me.

God Is Love

Love is an authority.
It dictates choice and consequence
and joins together all the wayward lamenters
who grieve at their loss of purity.

Love is an actuality.
It breathes new life into masochists
who wished to die a thousand times over
and prey upon the weak and fragile.

When you let love in at first, it may seem out of place,
like a foreign object lodged in your chest, a parasite
feeding on the brains of its host, thriving in darkness,
blood-letting leeches drain this swollen heart...

But love does not enforce kindness; only offers a gentle reminder
for anyone who's forgotten how great it feels
to give for the sake of giving
and not be afraid of his own shadow.

Solitude Is My Silent Saviour

No one understands the reason for living, many prefer to receive without giving. In a world full of selfish behaviour, solitude has become my silent saviour. Instruments are repressed without musicians, as some kill the music before auditions. My harp cares not for words about tradition, ignores fake applause for romantic fiction. Love is a way of life, yet some bring it shame, mercy cannot sin, feelings are not a game. People point fingers to those without a name, what will they do when there's no one left to blame? I'm no Romeo, I need no Juliet, I've loved and lost, broken hearts I still regret.

Six Slopes

The six steep slopes they gave me..
yes, all were mine.

I can give them to you..
if you wish them.

Though they tend to be.,
unkind.

Don't wait for them to love,
or understand,
or forgive..

It's not their way.

They serve only to light a path,
show you the way.

Discover who you are, yes,
and where you come from.

It's what you always asked,
and all you ever prayed.

Don't look too far forward,
they'll make sure you're blind..

Understand that you are all that matters
not them, not us, not time.

Colors of Love

Deep within my hidden pastel dreams
are soft sweet colors of a newborn spring
dressed up in mauves and pinks and windham creams
while giving hope to love and all it brings.

Painted in the colors of the dawn,
like pinks and purples of the morning sky,
magenta dreams will bloom and love will spawn
as newly mated hearts begin to fly.

And thus our lilac love has taken flight
while sharing orchid thoughts without remiss;
soft words and fuchsia touches in the night
are punctuated with a crimson kiss.

The coral sun rays beaming from above
are raining down these colors of our love.

Love Is, Love Isn't Collaboration with Sandra Weiss

I know the pain that love can bring
How hurtful words can bite and sting
When lies are told, love will take wings
That real love doesn't come with strings

Love, liken to a pendulum swing
Taking it all not giving a thing
Once I listened to my heart sing
When I thought love was everything.

What happens is, that we don't see
Sometimes love's not meant to be
Perhaps there should be a decree,
The lock for love has lost it's key

I found that love was not for me
It brings with it too much debris
Though some will say that love is free
I'd have to say, I disagree.

Moment In Time

A moment in time, frozen in my mind Vision of beauty, an angel in my eye Sunshine sparkling down Brightening up my cloudy days Life was on the downturn spiraling lost... out of control Nights of loneliness. days of false smiles A few choice words, consoling my cries Those killer smiles you gave Those deep caramelized eyes, giving solace to my broken heart Taking my hand, you lead me from the deep, into the light. Upon the next shooting star To you, I devote my heart.

To Be Free

Entwined
The color
Of mankind
Echoed in
Our minds
The Realities
Of life
Forevermore
The ethnic
Flow of
Our blood
Pulsating
Giving us life
Giving us hope

We were
Color blind
Or
Perhaps
The world
Didn't understand
The differnt
Shades of
Pastels

We were free
Of that kind of
Bondage
That brought
Many of us
To our knees
Even as you
Lay in my arms
Dying
While our church
Was ingulfed
In flames
Whispering to me
Be free my love
Be free
Lesser men would
Have gone mad
You see
But not I
I would not
succumb to
That kind of
Bondage..

Christmas Gifts

Christmas Gifts

Christmas time was lonely for this young boy.
He lived a homeless life upon the street.
Remembering before, when life held joy,
Inside, warm and cozy near a hearth's heat.

Snowmen always seemed to share such delight
That he thought he would build one near each home,
Maybe joining in a fun snowball fight,
Always creating snowmen in the gloam;

Sweet surprise for families unaware.
Giving the only gift he could think of
In building each snowman he took such care,
For it was his kind way to share his love.

These gifts brought him such happiness to see
Smiles upon surprised faces filled with glee.

A Greener Pasture

Though my stall here is empty now
If you listen close...
You can hear me running through a greener pasture
Your sorrow opens the gate and releases me free
Thank you for rescuing me from worldly darkness
And giving me love unsurpassed
So that I may now run with others so loved...
But never forgotten
I am a child again young and lean my spirit afire
And oh how our spirits thrive here
Never again to feel the pain of the earth
Hear me running!
For your tears have watered the grasses for me
In God's Greener Pasture

A Tribute To the Highlander

His talent as a Bard explodes
From an exquisite mind it flows
Through an instrument of script
Flooding parchment reverberating
Through the psyche creating waves
Reaching the far ends of the universe

Words of truth deep sentiment flourish
Propelling legitimate personal emotions
Giving due praise to brave loyal and true
To God nature his love and fellow Bards and
The magnificent highlands he loves so well
Always uplifting inspiring and sharing

Accept this tribute from an amateur a friend
With gratitude for reading commenting for
Being just who you are, The Highlander

On the Road To the Sky

Nothing ventured
Nothing gained
If you’re giving up
Then tell me, who’s to blame

The road’s ahead
Time is now
Make that change
You’ve been dreaming of

Open up your heart doors
And set your soul free
Feel the inspiration
The sunshine and breeze

Whatever it takes
However, life goes
Give it all the love inside of you
Believe you’ll achieve your goals

And if you have to rise to meet your destiny
Then take to the Sky
Fly up high…
High, High, High

What can be said
about this man
One that is not easy to be read.
His words come to life
Pen to paper
With poetry to his wife
A loving father indeed
Nothing else like it
Teaching and giving all they need.
Mysterious is he
What's in his head
Is he thinking about me
He's not perfect
Mistakes have been made
Things I know he'll correct
He's my best friend
the one I married
A love that will never end
He has been mine
For quite some time
I find he is still so divine.

'remember To Smile'

Remember to smile Even if you are dying inside Remember to hold your head up high Even if your knees feel like they want to yield Remember to cry on the inside Where the Lord knows your heart Even when you feel like giving up Remember the scars on His hands He never gave up on you He is still cheering for you His unfailing love, Has been present even when you could not love yourself People will love you today, Tomorrow you will be a distant memory They will hurt you today, Tomorrow they will act like nothing has changed Remember to smile; it will move your soul Remember to smile; Tomorrow you try again…

The Deposition

The Deposition

The love God gives remains unbound.
Jesus of Nazareth came down.
Everlasting, His love abounds.

Deliverer and Redeemer: crucified, He died.
Eternal sacrifice, His perfect life tried.
Painfully executed, giving no retort to their lies.
Omnipotent creator, teacher, and revelator
Righteous, He lived, and died; over sin the victor.
Incomprehensible pain He, for us bore.
Two women, Mary, His mother, and Mary Magdalene
Inconceivable how perfect love and wisdom fomented.
Overcome with grief, Nicodemus and more lamented.
Never ending love, on the third day Jesus the Christ, alive presented.

Particularly

What I find beautiful and particularly satisfying
is when I see one person giving love to another,
particularly when it's no one in particular...
