Burning Lights

lighthouses; beam dreams asleep, awake, between
weighted muses surface from jade pool depths
breathe gasps of fresh love, beautiful, dark
what’s born of dark often comes to light
funnel cones shine on nighted ships
shore swept or safely harboring
flags parade by watch mills
free to wander streets
vie, fly then die
living poetry
burning
lights

A Gift For You

You can wrap it, but with
Only a bow, nothing more.

You can see it from a far,
As it’s lights shine bright.

You can’t hold it in your hands,
But surely it will guide you.

Follow this light, your gift,
To you, my heart and soul.

This house, a gift for you,
Filled always with much joy.

Rough waters you’ll have no
More, Serenity waits at

YOUR LIGHTHOUSES DOOR…

Your Eyes

love's incarnation

heart's ignition of our dreams

lighthouses your eyes!

The Black Fear

upon the skin of the drunk earth
The black fear breaks the column of the blue lightes
And the lighthouses of the white sea ,
Sinking in the ridiculous anger
And the rebellious love crying above space of the tired universe
And breaks my horizon mania .

Lighthouse of Love In a Sea of Fear

I love you to no finite end
More than I can comprehend
So when you say that that's not true,
Imagine the pain you put me through

You are the lighthouse and I'm the ship's crew
I'm left in turmoil without the light from you
So hold me close and keep me near,
We can be each others' lighthouses in the seas of fear

Benjamin Wheeler

** This poem is in memory of Benjamin Wheeler, one of the children who was a victim in the Sandy Hook Shooting. Benjamin was a skilled swimmer, a Beatles fan, and loved lighthouses.

Benjamin fills our bodies with warmth and love.

As he swims through the coldness to bring us happiness.

He will get us soaked but Benjamin's smile will dry up all our pain.

As he meets some of the Beatle members in Heaven.

The lighthouses will then light up the ocean.

For a bright and spirited boy has swam into the arms of the Lord.

Ocean of Romance

Once upon a midnight, night
With stars twinkling in the sky
The moon appeared up above
And all saw this kiss of love

The oceans waves moved the sands
hitting the rocks while clasping hands
Starfish wished to see this kiss
While the fish were swimming in bliss

Lighthouses spinning around
A guiding light of this love abound
With castles built and frisbees thrown
This ocean of love a clear moonstone

When one wished upon a star
The sky and oceans obliged them
Ever lasting never to be forgotten
The oceans and sky's

Romance and love

I Love You

My circle is of
    fruitflies, houseflies, mosquitos
    squirrels, chipmunks, possums
    spiders, crickets, ants
    parakeets, seagulls, geese

This dance is absent without you
    hair, glasses, smile
    shirt, pants, shoes
    laugh, giggle, talk

Together we were one
    hugs, handholding, cuddles
    rollerblading, bicycling, racquetball
    car rides, lighthouses, kayaking
    fishing, dinners, parenting
