Strayed Sheep

We gather in groups
many to be sequestered as
strayed sheep

Haunted and shunned
by the societies we love

Who can we turn to
to ease the burning pain
of neglect and asylum

Who is our border collie
the light to wrestle us in
against the turmoil of everyday life

But still we stay strong
as it is human nature to endure
and lift ourselves above the suffering

So even though we strayed
we still love and have matured
to rise above the darkness that prevails

A Banyan Tree In My Courtyard

A banyan tree in my courtyard
That I had planted ten years ago
Looks beautiful with its large limbs
As if a beauty queen of monsoon
 Were entering her adolescence

It smiles when gusts of cool wind
 Touch it with adorable feelings
 Droplets of rain seems curious
To entice it with intoxicating gestures

 When banyan tree stretches
For soft touch of rain drops
 I may feel its emotions
When my love touched me first time
 In the college rose garden
 And it was raining then

And today banyan tree of my courtyard
 Seems matured enough
To repeat history of adolescence love
 This amazing monsoon.

A Dry Leaf

Happiness occurred at the times of sadness, yet love wasn't matured to mature the joy in my life. It felt like a flower that wasn't watered when water was a nature of garden.

I cried hoping to be felt like a dry leaf,
But I was left wilt and dry.
It broke me when all had their own backs
While I was just a silent morning bird that dew frost.
Love became a miserable word with no ending, I felt it in darkness when the only light I saw was of a sparkling star that shines when the moonlight.

It felt great, yet the greatness of joy was of a tear in my eye.
I'm a dry leaf.

Getting Back Together

Had list of exes from my past,
But you were the best that I had!
I just wish I’ll see you again!
Say that I want you and be back again.
Miss how you stare your eyes on me.
Was that a Korean or Japanese look?
Whatever it is… I don’t care!
Your kiss is what I desire for keeps,
You made things a wonderful magic.
If I could just undo my mistakes,
Wish I gave the love that you loved.
Now I could say that I’m now matured.
Let’s get back together, baby.

Grace of Heaven Woman

Woman is a song
Only men in rare few can recite
Woman is grace
In rose
Only in embrace holy land
 Could rise
Woman is a golden bird of heaven
Who breathe
In wings hug
Warm of free breath
Flutters with heart's beat
Sweet matured in within peace
In nap of bosom love
 Praised raised ere in ease
Kiss blossom in dips - honey
In dearly her adore sweet
 Buds in dew's - passion
Her bliss in life

Forty

I love women at forty
Because they too become snorty

Now whom to complain dear...
Equality expels all my fear

Forty makes you more matured
Love bond makes us endured

Now finding poetry in you...
Living poetry gives me cue

Precious Flower

Life is a flower, given to you
Take care of it for it lays in your hands
Don't ignore her needs for survival
Water her day by day, let her grow deeper into the soil
Weed some of the unwanted plants
That may choke her, and then dies as she struggles for life
Prone some of the branches
Remove the dry leafs with care and kindness
Let her know nature since nature is her mother
Never let her grow alone, for she needs the company of others
As she begins to blossom, you'll know that she has matured with your love
Life is a flower, don't break her since you can't make another
Life is a precious flower, give her the care she needs.

Grandmother

A grandmother- she is a mother blessed
with life that comes from her times two.
Her precious children pass on her genes
to new life via theirs with chosen mates.
Again, she can cradle newborns with love,
                    assist to nourish and shape their growth;
resurge the joys of motherhood, matured.
Being close or far away, her faithful love,
patience and generosity are special gifts
for dear grandkids- each one, a blessing.

Summer Love

In June, we start our fling with summer love.
With richer shades matured from reborn green,
the denser, crowded leaves fill trees above,
that sway with rhythm, peaceful and serene.

Deep green abides in velvety, lush grass
that spreads a carpet on the ground with ease,
as tangled vines now cling and drape, amass,
and willow branches dance in summer's breeze.

June brings warm harmony to mind and heart,
with beautiful, soft-blended fertile hues
that paint the scenery with summer art
'neath calm and rolling skies of tranquil blues.

On the last day, June bows to pass her reign-
July and August, summer love, sustain.

You

as a soft breeze, a hushed whisper, a cool mist, you came quietly and slipped into my thoughts. I skim through the sunlit alley of a dream world and I whirl in an uneasy sensuality. now the embryo of love in me has matured into a full grown fetus kicking at the crust of my womb giving the tremor of a forbidden E C S T A S Y

True Love

Love is a song, sang by your soul
Through your heart
Once you start
To feel like a part
Of someone that makes you whole.

Love is a flame, that seldom dies
But is only obscured
By pain uncured
And can be matured
With a good long heart rending cry.

True love is rare, like a pink pearl
It never stops shining
Or singing
It keeps on burning
Lying dormant in every boy and girl.

Pain steals your love, hiding it quick
Away in the mist
But it exists
And may persist
Because real true love never quits!

Crying Out To God

Crying out to God
Enables us to hear,
   His response.
While on life's journey, we should always be
    GROWING
    CHANGING and
    EXCELLING
In new and very different ways.
And then when we have fully matured,
Only then are we truly ready,
To emerge with a new sense of direction,
With a deeper understanding.
Of our struggles along the way.
Because at this critical point
We began to see life,
    through the Father's eyes
We get it, our struggles were not in vain.
And our pain does matter.

Realization of Relationship

Long ago
when we separated
from each other
never to meet again
before we could fulfil
all vows and promises
that we made to keep
you know then we both
were unripe to realize
the depth of love and relationship
but today when
I reminisce those lost moments
our love is matured enough
to imbibe the essence of relationship
we may restart
our old journey
and rewrite a new chapter
to rejuvenate our relationship
with perseverance and devotion
sweetheart our love
waits for us
to siphon the realization
of true love
but this time never to separate
with great reverence for our
eternal relationship

Total Collapse of the Heart

When once I sat and pondered the definition of heartbreak
I realized mine changed almost as quickly as I matured.
My toddler heart broke when Rover stole my ice cream.
My Kindergarten heart broke when Susie was cast as Cinderella.
In middle school it was whenever someone called me fat.
Home alone on prom night, chest a bonfire of pain;
That perfect job I didn’t get and heart broken again.
The thing is, the fuller the heart with love, hope
The greater the pain when broken, like two storm-fronts clashing.
So news my daughter had cancer broke heart, soul, spirit.

Baby Lovers

Throwing tantrums
Is now your anthems
Finding faults
Now happens by default

We used to be better than this
With you am no longer at ease
To be or not to be
Inspite of you I have to be me

Am tired of your constant threat of leaving
So I have made a conscious choice of living
I am me independent of you
So let's get along without much ado

Stop throwing tantrums
It's no axioms
If this union is not gonna work
Then I have got to walk

Goodbye my baby lover
Am too matured to be your lover
Goodbye my baby lover
At the end we know who was the loser

Definition of Love

You hurt me with the things you say
The words you say with honesty
Like when you told me
I was immature for you
When I was afraid to admit
I loved you
But I did not know how
to express my love for you
I matured from within my heart
As you mended the pain of hurt
The pain of guilt
The pain of fear
Eighteen years have passed
We reaped and sowed with regret
I cherish the love we had
You showed me how to feel
And I know the difference
Of what love truly means
It is more than the words
we choose to say
For real true love comes from within

Fate of the Pluot

You and I, we were unalike, embedded into the earth,
so far from each other.
My roots grew independently and strong, as yours,
grew to be smothered.
As time went on our stocks matured and grew,
to extend such a great distance.
Our roads trekked in contrasting directions,
that channeled us to coexistence.
Fate cannot be discouraged nor fought by mortals,
a lesson learned not forgot.
As different as an Apricot is to a Plum,
together we can make a Pluot.

Your Love

It all begun I should have been overstrung however the puppy love begun

Wasn’t matured completely to acquire any alcoholic refreshments from any liquor store yet the love I grown for her was drunk

Can I overcome what we could had become

Months of squeezing you like a sponge, love was easily squeezed out like a sponge

The expense you pay when your in love I need a refund

That thing termed love for me is out of sight I’m done.

Twilight Years

With vision diffuse and fragile frame,
  These, the twilight years commence,
Yet arms to hold each other close
Seem no less fierce, less intense.

What smacked of callow rapidity,
The rush of youth and virgin bud,
Is mellowed, matured throughout the span
Of decades steeping in the blood.

The two of us in sunset swathe,
As now, these twilight years enfold,
Together we endure and sense
The perfect love in growing old.

End of Summer

Slowly it comes- but then so fast it's gone; sunshine-filled days, balmy nights- matured from days of spring. Too quickly those long days go drifting by; so bask in that warm sunshine- embrace the summer love. September 4, 2021 Contest: Kimo Form - Old or New Sponsor: Constance La France

Sometimes It Is Good To Be

Sometime it is good to smile for you, than

to laugh hard for others

Sometime it is good to be silent, than

to talk all the time

Sometime it is good to argue, than

to keep things to yourself

Sometime it is good to be yourself, than

hiding our identity

Sometime it is good to be angry, than

to smile and say ‘Its ok’

Sometime it is good to be childlike, than

to behave matured

Sometime it is good to enjoy your hobby, than

your work

Sometime it is good to be ‘imperfect’ ,than

pretending perfection

Sometime it is good to be happy ,than

to make happy

Sometime it is good to love your life , than

to just live it

This Holy Ghost

Prosperous entity,
lively observer,
holy identity,
fierce loyalty,
wonderful, holiness,
served by man,
as we strive
to reach his holy land,
matured the human race,
restored the lost faith,
warms the soul,
feel his hold,
as he soothes our hearts,
no darkness could rip us apart,
and what we love most,
is the love given to us unconditionally,
by this Holy Ghost
