The Park Bench
I wish I was a poet
With magical words
To make people see all of the absurd
Tears fly, paintings in pastel die
When we look into our mirrors
We sometimes miss
What love dumps upon all of us
We shed tears, for we forgot to shed fears
I have no legs, nor any crutches
So my voyage has ended
I only observe
Sadness upended
When goodness is confused
When gestures are refused
When the kiss that could have been
When a poets tear seems obscene
The one who hears is often deaf
The deaf sometimes have nothing left
If I could give a kiss away
I would give it to lovers with hearts that sway
Drawing love on paper in may

All lovely words
when understood
All so misconstrued
silence envelopes our delusions
Desire, we lust the attention
at the forfeit of philosophy
Love, we crave at Kings expense
at times
Sacrificing those whom love us true
spilling blood at humanities alter
Romance, we desire for loves embrace
knowing serpents sell snake oil remedies
Beware the soft spoken
cringe when you hear words only a token
Seeking the truth, not platitude
discover love, in those that.........
Breathe actions, not poetic verse

philosophy,
This life we're living
Is so unforgiving
Reminding us every day
Of games that we played
Choices we made
Dreams that faded away
Paths that were crossed
Loved ones we've lost
Still promising a brighter tomorrow
When that promise is broken
Our wounds rip back open
Leaving hope to drown in deep sorrow
From our very first breath
We're stalked by death
We live our lives in fear
Knowing well it won't last
So we live loose and fast
Look up and the days have become years
We add peace, subtract strife
Find the sum of a life
Discover we've love left for giving
Love that goes wasted
On the bitterness tasted
In a life so unforgiving

I asked to my father
Baba, What is life?
He politely said to me, "Life is Duty ."
I asked to my mother
Maa, What is life?
She said to me with smile, "Life is Responsibility ."
I asked to my teacher
Sir, What is life?
He said to me with love, "Life is Education ."
I asked to my spiritual master
Gurujee, What is life?
He said to me with confidence, "Life is Devotion ."
Today my son who reads in class nine
Asked me
Babai, What is life?
I have said to him, "Dear, You are my life ."

Loves promenades towards emptiness
longing is a void
darkness of a million universes
where mythical black holes
chant of timeless desires
Yearning for carnal eternity
where candles never die
Two of us
never met
oceans apart
gasping for affections
in different times
winds may have swept
this way or that
never seen
Wind and candle lie in death
so lost
in emptiness

At first
love floats like a snowflake,
until it melts in your hand.
Then it falls,
like an Autumn leaf,
eventually swept away in the breeze.
Sometimes love offers mercy,
like April showers to rose petals,
but no rain can save from decay.
Love wants to be free like a kite,
flying colourfully in bright blue skies,
but grey clouds ruin its flight.
One day love will descend like sunset.
Maybe we are born to fall -
but love will always ascend again like sunrise.

The six steep slopes they gave me..
yes, all were mine.
I can give them to you..
if you wish them.
Though they tend to be.,
unkind.
Don't wait for them to love,
or understand,
or forgive..
It's not their way.
They serve only to light a path,
show you the way.
Discover who you are, yes,
and where you come from.
It's what you always asked,
and all you ever prayed.
Don't look too far forward,
they'll make sure you're blind..
Understand that you are all that matters
not them, not us, not time.

My birthmark is a scar
A speckled blotch ...
A spot of pox
An icon from afar
I'm an upstart, I'm an eyesore
Ranting with a flair
In a tempest, I'm a rabid bird
Setting fire to the air
As dauntless as a hellhag
Unmoved by love or care
I can hold up in a cyclone
Feasting on your fear
I'm your last hope
As a laughingstock
I'm your courage in a dare
As audacious as a terrorist
With death-defying hair
When it's time to play the tragic fool
I'm as flagrant as a glare
Seething with a vengeance
In a tantrum of despair

You are the wild flower in my palm
With no stem to keep you anchored to this covetous earth
You are the fragile thing I dare not cup,
As your petals whittle away under the wind
And flit unfettered in the air;
Exaggerated fear leaves my fingers numb
Hungry need leaves my fingers twitching
And my hand is paralyzed by turmoil
As every breath of wind takes another petal from me
And brings to my lungs, my chest and my heart
An overwhelming scent of need-
You are the wild beauty in my palm
And I dare not hold you to my chest
For I fear to crush you
To know first hand
That caged beauty, is beauty no more.

Little droplet
your time is near,
never fear,
be part of it.
Fall into the great ocean
your conscious way,
unconscious stay,
Nature's final notion.
Lean back
let it go,
it happens so,
embrace the black.
Droplet make a tiny splash.
Whisper in your Bardo ear,
till you're no longer here,
and flesh turns to simple ash.
So sleep little droplet,
how sweet the dew.
To love it and live it
and to start anew.

The gift of a new day
holds the promise of a new way
A new way of seeing
A renewed way of being
The shedding of old skin
A fresh place to begin
Resurrected once more
for the treasures in store
A farewell to the old
A chance for the gold
The sunshine above
Another day to love
With strength in your flesh
and a mind that is fresh
New ideas to conceive
with more grace to receive
To dance in the dawn
and forget what is gone
To sing like a bird
and speak a new word
To celebrate when
you are born once again

My Guitar weeps
And not so gently
It strings together broken tears
It has seen my feeble attempts at love
My Guitar laughs
As I try to serenade
A song that lovers play
It strings together broken romances
My guitar sleeps
For I am not doing to well
In charming your heart
My guitar is bored
My guitar kills me
And steals my girl
They were meant to be it seems
They joined chords and sang
The funeral was brief
The music was good
Guitar music after all
Now they travel onwards
Musical journeys
With not a thought of me
With no guitar
As the ghost of me weeps

Every time we fall we lose a bit of are selfs.
Untill hollow becomes the heart.
bare as a vacant stores shelves.
The dreamer finds solice in every new face.
That new love's illusion.
Cold is the afterglow when we reflect apon that
once passionet embrace.
Can the bitter heart find a reason to try?
Skipping stones alone across dark water.
We keep setting are selves up without
a single question as to why.
A room smoke filled yet every thing shows
clear.
Sometimes we play the cards.
And hold the best one aside in fear.
As vast as the ocean from its shores
the the innocent crawl.
Trying to capture only a glimmer of that true passion.
Every time we fall.

The pious man who watches in awe,
Or the faithless man saving those in the blaze?
Who is stronger,

Or the mother of four on her own?
Who has lost more,
The man who has lost his money,
Or the man who has lost his love?
Who is weaker,
The man who can't fight back,
Or the man who won't fight for him?
Who Is more savage,

Not all those who wander are lost
Maybe they love the path and not the destination.
Not all those who always wonder are kids
Maybe they love to lost in their mind and not in the path of life.
Note all those who got lost are into oblivion, but into the first step of thier life lesson.
Not all happy face shows a happy life
sometimes it's just and effort to hide what they are going through.

It lifted me above all mire dark and dense.
Kashmir is the divine smile
It gifted me a peace beyond all of my sense.
Kashmir is the sorrow

Kashmir is the paradise on earth without dream...

we do come back
in three fold I am told
Hold this knowledge close to your heart
so what you choose to do unto others
is done with kindness, care and love
and in the end good will
come back to you
times three.

If love does not live so that love may live,
Wrecked on rugged rock like a pirate ship;
Tiresias speaks to hearts—no love to give,
Darkness and void with no inspired lips;
If love is quashed short of its golden prime,
Like dinosaurs smashed by a meteorite;
Crushed from its age of blossoming on time,
Like breath strangled from life not to unite!
Then O’ love, send me Pegasus to ride,
Spread your wings—lift us to Zeus in the sky;
Touching constellations with them abide,
Creating cherished crescendos for weepy eye:
Lightning life beaming love from golden clouds
Descending passion upon earth erasing shrouds!
