Love Poems About Quintain (English)

romance,
The whisper of your skin
dissolving into mine -
the weight of it is kin
to that of wings of butterflies - divine
deliciousness I can’t define!
My precious love -
We meld into a sky of night that’s never been
so breathlessly partaken of
nor ever will again.
Exquisitely you paint my sweetest sin.

grief, imagery, loss, love, metaphor, water,
I wrap the darkness 'round me like a quilt
As questions bay like hounds at my belief
And tho' the tears are poison, dearly spilt
Those e'er still waters ripple with my grief
While love is lost to time, the coldest thief.

love, nature,
Broad strips of land cascading to the sea
Shrouded in an early morning mist
The West Coast’s beauty calls to me
For on this rocky shore, we once kissed
Sweet memories of love that I have missed

12th grade, appreciation, love, nature,
I breathe the new leaves in the Spring,
I breathe the azure of the skies
I breathe the birds on magic wing
I breathe the sunset as it dies,
only to paint a new sunrise.
I breathe Nature in any form:
the rain that falls with gentle grace;
the clouds, the lightning in a storm.
the wooded lands, the open space.
all part of Nature's gilded face
If but once, I could journey far,
and mingle with a Summer day.
to climb the clouds, sit on a star
gaze at Nature's golden display
that almost takes my breath away.

caregiving, introspection, love,
I light my candle from within the more I give to you,
An inner strength builds inside, it fills my empty soul,
The encompassing love present when my life was askew,
Needing a reason to get up every morning was my goal,
Volunteering at hospice gave me more, filling a gapping hole.

What You are to Me – Five Lines
Always in lucid dreams, it’s you I see,
ever like the North Star, constant and bright.
My angel, you’re my heavenly delight!
Your love, like truth, has set me free tonight.
You’re my life and you’re most precious to me!

nature,
Mother Nature stretches across a floor
wearing stones and beads of sand. Placidly
she warms herself beneath the sun where shore
meets the shining waters of azure sea,
and in this place I could not love her more!

beauty,
A sea of blue is in his eyes -
a sea of blue and azure skies!
His lips are berries red and sweet,
and in his hair’s a field of wheat
upon the pillow where he lies.

seasons, uplifting, snow, snow,
I gaze out of my window and I see
Like shredded wings of angels in distress
The snow is falling, in enormous flakes!
An hour of gentle snow is all it takes
To clothe my garden in her wedding dress.
I love the snow when it is deep and fresh!
It renders clear the shouts of children’s play
Now ev'rything is shining, clean and white.
Snow deadens all the din of normal life …
And yet I’m glad to see it melt away!

love,
Shy is the February sun
Above the frazzled fatherland
However hearts are not undone
Giving instead a warmer brand
Holding one closer under the sun.
A prelude to Valentine's day.

introspection, love, on writing and words
In the dark light of this winter morn, I see
The clothes that I am expected to wear
(Though, maybe, the fault of illusion lies with me)
From overuse, have become threadbare
Nothing there…
In a cloak of blue, I steal through these lanes
Measuring myself, roughly, for something new
A suit of humour, to cover my pain
A coat of hope, to stop the doubt shining through
Do not fit true…
This protective subterfuge cannot last long
So, with the aura of my old hide, around me spread
(Without my own skin I feel so wrong)
In this cloth that is woven from transparent thread
Words, unaltered, from my head…must soon be said…

devotion, friendship
For you I'll make an ocean
Where you'll never have to hide
I'll fill it with devotion
And pour love upon the tide
For you these waters bide...
The waves they will embrace you
On that warm supporting sea
The current, it will guide you through
And bring your flame to me
The things you always wanted...you will see

romance,
A shiver exists which requires not even a touch,
for it’s all in the mind before it begins physically.
It’s a tremble so sweet, when it fades people miss it so much,
they spark new romance. In love again they must be -
to feel that sensation of quiver sublimity!

lost love, longing,
Oh! Have you heard a stone's grief?
An inward pity shrieked in vain.
It resonate beyond belief,
like a rose's scream under winter’s strain
or crumbling of spirit by parting’s pain.
Echoes of longing for inner peace
the hum of want and wonder why.
A ringing in ear that will never cease
from a shrill of passion's passing sigh;
silent as stones when they cry.

Tears in the Night
Flipping the pages, I silently cry,
reeling from the pain of your “Dear Jane” note.
Stifling soft sobs, I exhale a sad sigh,
as my tears blot the hurtful words you wrote…
but my bruised heart heals even while you gloat.

christian, jesus, relationship,
My Savior's love is a healing balm,
as He shelters me in steadfast arms.
His gentle whisper soothes and calms,
as the storms around me cause alarm;
my Jesus keeps me safe from harm.
There is no other that I trust,
to guide me through life's shifting sands.
He knows I'm weak and made of dust,
so He holds on tightly to my hand,
and gives me strength for all life's demands.

I pull out faded memories.
Dust off the years that have no part,

saying goodbye while crying softly.

beautiful, best friend, blessing, caregiving, devotion, giving, love,
What is True Love?
If love is an action,
Where does it start?
If love is a feeling,
Does it come from the heart?
If love is a promise,
What does it really mean?
Without action,
Can it truly be seen?
If love is in the eye,
Can we envision its splendor?
If love is in the voice,
Can we hear it soft and tender?
If love can be bought,
What is its true price?
Will it have endurance,
And the quality to entice?
If love is in the heart,
Is it a flame within?
If love is a game,
Is there something to win?
If love is a person,
Who may it be?
He that acts from the heart,
And does it for free?

longing, love, night, passion,
Hypnotized by moonlit tides, so soft yet deep,
he speaks to me. A twilight gaze casts its fateful spell.
Every word surrendered to his fantasy, I keep
to toss upon midnight's shore like the roiling shells.
I inhale ocean's breath and body, waves of magic he foretells.
Beneath a stroke of endless sky, innocent days
fall prey to darkness, enchanted by love's disguise.
His smile tempts the waning moon as castles crumble to decay.
And I...I am lost to myself. I, who once was wise.
Helpless in his arms, I've become one of his lies.

love,
Shining armor clad 'pon a white horse
Eternally strong knight my love, my guide
Reign in, hold, steer my feeble course
Encircle with loving arms, shelter, hide
Now let it be known I'm your pride
Delighted in you, you're love constant source
Intriguing the very thought of you implied
Passionate moments spent no remorse
Incomparable joy, rapture when by your side
Touched, tasted of tranquility yearningly tied

I watch spumy waves cresting the shore
when I go for an amble near the sea,
on stormy days big waves thunder and roar
but the tempestuous sea I just love to see -
knowing soon there’ll be calm and tranquility.

bereavement, sea, wind,
The wind raised the wave with pleasure over and over,
exploding with its weight embracing the jagged rocks.
Seeing the aged shoreline spread like an endless rover,
of eroded pinnacles. No ship dare seek its locks,
for its nonexistent shore has suffered severe shocks.
She hugged her woolen shawl, tightly around her shoulders,
to ward off the chill, and walked along the cliffs, looking
out onto the sea. Waves crashed against battered boulders,
stirring the cool mist and briny fragrance. Concealing
the love she once shared, but lost to the seas bewitching.

I was alone until I brought you home,
Just a pup who loved to chew on my shoes.
You've given me the sweetest love I've known.
Blue husky eyes keep vigil when I snooze,
Your gay devotion keeps me from the blues.
The years have passed too quickly, now you're old.
Right by my side you've stayed until the end.
Your worth in weight, much more than solid gold,
I could not let you suffer, my best friend.
Only time will help my broken heart mend.

giving, home,
Praise be to the tranquil home
Where care and amity abide
Like a well-worn book or favorite poem
In whose members we confide
And whose values are our guide
Ill-fated is the raging home
Where resentment and cruelty reign
Like an outcast always bound to roam
Doomed to empty constant pain
Where no glimmer of will remain
Blessed is our home within
Where resides a treasure glowing
Without temptation need or sin
Just eternal pure love glowing
And goodwill overflowing
