Tender Me a Kiss

Tender me a kiss
a brush of lips upon my cheek
 gentle, loving, fragile wish, sheik
to set my soul afire, soft and weak.
Whisper love and comfort, joy and peace
to right this world so that war and hate will cease.

Tender me a kiss, some long goodbye
when all I sense and feel would make me cry
but hidden safe within the confines,
 hope continues to abide.
In your hurry dispel all fears and worries compromising
tender me a kiss, anticipation waits on the horizon.

Elemental Love

Blue evening dress
Topographical cleavage
Nurturing mother

Father Sky reigns high
Soft touch on her horizon

Her head covered with
A wintery Arctic scarf
With white pumps to match

He caresses her
His radiant passion flames
Heating up her womb

Encompassing her with love
Warm and cold climatic touch

His breath cools her skin
Tenderly moistening earth
Life springs from within

Different Hearts

How to consider a house that’s not a home
How to consider a heart that stands alone
How to consider bee without its hives
This is me as you move on with your lives

I am the girl that is covered in sin
Proud and reckless but ashamed within
Broken, alone, I hide from it all
Hoping to hurt less when I finish the fall

Will you doubt when I tell you my lie?
Will you come back when I tell you goodbye?
Can you recover when I blow you apart?
Together, forever into different hearts.

None Read My Poem

Writing a Poem of Love
Not much to cheer
Guess not my love
No one is my dear

Everything is virtual
Nothing is real
None write for me
None bother to read mine

Can’t lead my life
This way in strife
I write for myself
The Poem is for me

Grape Squeeze

Grape Squeeze
By
Ingrid Showalter Swift

Shake me
Take me
Turn me inside out
Rake me
Make me
Turn my life about
Fake me
Partake of me
till ya turn the tide of doubt
Quake me
Don't forsake me
turn me into... a lover's shout

Fisherman (Co-Written With Doris Culverhouse)

Swimming, life carefree
Net tightens around the school
Deliverance, grace

May your hook always be cast
Where you least expect fish caught

Synergism, save
These lost fish, grateful intent
Catch and release, Life

Responsible now
Freedom, new life in warm water
Breach, spout words, joy, sing

School of life, protective school
Numbers rise with the right bait

Bait, love, nuturance
Guide... North Star...The leader Home
Reward eternal life

Run Away Together

Let's run away let us go far together let us leave the world We will run to the mountain there we will find billy goats There living we'll be with only Mother Nature to be our neighbor This is my dream forever I can't wait till it happens.

My Timeless Love

My timeless love My heartstrings are yours To tug on You contain all my love Every drop from a rose The tenderness You complete upon me I feel each morning A fire of passion Well up within me I want to share it Each breath I have Is only made for you You surely caress Our very soul and being I love you

Mummies Candy

Mummified body Scouring on Halloween Lurks into the night The bandages falling off Creepy skin is rotting There are many treats Within the old mummies heart Candy corn inside The living sweets Keep the mummy alive Gives kids their snack The black cats keep watch To guard these candy sweets People avoid the cats For fear that bad luck will hit Mummies love their pets

Halloween Spiders

Creepy spiders A Halloween favorite Many fear them Walk around on lit Jack-O-Lanterns Waiting to bite the unsuspecting They’re on brooms That await the witch’s travel The witch’s grand show Bats swoop down To try and eat the treats That the spiders catch All bugs that are caught in webs Are wonderful foods for them both But Halloween spiders Still love the human taste Ones to fondly bite

Wind

The sparkle of the wind
Grazing over my soft skin
Leaving me breathless
Envelops my soul
Circling my tender heart
Filling me with love

Sweet Halloween

Pleas for help Come on deaf ears Near the old house Bats roam throughout property Taking blood where possible The calm black cats Take up with the neighbors Where rats live They commune with the owls That love innocent children Spiders spin webs Near the entrance to the house Of an old witch Where potions are for sale That steals blood for her soul

Evil Concoction

The witch’s brew Concoction of many things All evil inside She stirs it all with a large stick Gnarled and old it stirs and stirs The potion is for Unsuspecting young lass That wants love She’ll do anything For her tender hearts desire Even ask the witch The witch that has another motive Than to unite two lovers as one She wishes to see This handsome young man Turn into a newt

Green Glowing Moon

In the light Of the green glowing moon A witch’s brew It holds evil within Ingredients of hate Simmering nearby Some Jack-O-Lanterns With deadly looks They keep guard Watching for anything good That might try to taint The skulls all glow real bright Helping the pumpkins watch They laugh at hope And tear down walls of love With forceful hate

Chess Pieces

Imagine, if we were but pawns on a board
in a game that God and His friends all played.
Life, as we know it, just wouldn’t be the same.
Then revelations would never be made.
He would carefully move us from square to square
not knowing what move would come next.
We would move as directed during the game
or else life would be bitter and vexed.
But, alas, this is how it already is
where God controls with His hand.
Destiny is set, He will win.
It is written and it is planned.
So, whenever unsure of what to do next
remember, you’re held in His hand.
Go with the flow, trust in the Lord!
It is written! It is planned!

In confluence of the river of life
Who hymn lots to gain
gets pain like hell besides having

wealth.
Those whose biography sails
love and compassion fair and faith
lives in love in words and thought
