love,
Out back on that old tire swing
drifting to and fro in the springtime dusk
reliving childhood memories
she swings and smiles
free as the red breasted robin
singing love songs as she soars
from limb to limb
in the that mighty oak tree
her hair blows silently side to side
dangling ever so softly off her
olive basted silky smooth shoulders
her caramel coloured eyes twinkle
in the fading sunlight
as the fireflies start to sparkle in the auburn sky
I sit quietly drinking my freshly made ice cold lemonade
soaking up all her splendor
knowing I'll be holding her tight tonight

A weeping willow gently sways amidst
A baby robin taking its very first breath.
They were young, in love
And knew no other
This was their moment, to be cherished forever.
Her body so beautiful, so delicate to touch
His masculinity soared over the sky above.
Entwined as ivy, united as one
They soaked in the passion of the blazing hot sun.
A girl's silhouette shyly covers her hand
As a starried eye boy becomes a man.

celebrity, death, obituary, suicide, sympathy, tribute,
A good man's gone, loved by us all
on the screen both big and small.
The fire is cold, the lights are out.
His soul's moved on, without a doubt.
The laughter's gone that masked the pain.
The house is still and peace does reign.
He fought his battles on life's wild ride,
but lost his war with the demons inside.
How can one thrive on acclaim and wealth
without the love of one's own self?
I hope you found the peace you sought.
The life you lived won't be forgot.

bird, spring,
On the wing in the dawning light,
Spring's new growth comes into sight.
Flowers, berries, nuts and seeds,
a smorgasbord to meet my needs.
I am a robin in grey-brown attire,
with my orange-red vest adding some fire.
A harbinger of Spring am I,
give ear to my joyous cry:
Spring! Spring!
Wonderful, marvelous, glorious Spring!
Oh look! A fat juicy worm.
Don't you just love how he wiggles and squirms?
Gulp...down the hatch! Wow! What a treat!
Now to my roost I must retreat.
My mate and I must build a nest,
a comfy home where our young can rest.
Robin means new growth

beauty, love, smile,
Singular snowflakes spread-out
blanket a dreary barren berm
that overlooks the dormant meadow
bringing a brightness to fields of grey.
Smiles overcome me as I watch
the proud red-breasted robin
pick at pieces of weathered brush
choosing just the right one
to comfort her nesting baby.
Whistles echo out of the rustic kitchen
where a steamed up copper kettle sings
waiting patiently to pour into perfect tea.
The first sip commands my attention and
wraps tightly around me, leaving a feeling
like your precious smile on a cloudy day
Quietly I sit absorbing the peaceful morning
like the baby robin in anticipation your return

song, sunset, , Lullaby,
Snuggled cosily in a blanket of love
Eyes tightly shut, listening to above
Where the robin chirps his merry song
Guarding his garden from the throng
I hummm a merry tune
Strings of violins pass through my mind
Mournfully and sad .....as if to remind
me of days of yore when love was great
How did that feeling turn to hate
I hummm a soulful tune
Sun is setting here to shine elsewhere
Reminds me of how I still care
for life, for love ...it's music fills my soul
I close my eyes to slumber, to recall,
hummming a sleepy tune

Living a dream, living a lie.
All alone among a deaf crowd

As one of the most famous ghosts once said,
“Find what you love and let it kill you”
The saddest, most painful death.
The sky is getting darker.
Another shooting star has faded.
You know, they do not grand wishes.
They run away from greedy, coldblooded demons
sucking out their minds.
While the majority keeps being blind and silent
Neverland misses your light…

La primavera song
Now fills the air of nature’s church
As I stroll along
I stop to try and catch a glimpse
To witness her refrain
Beheld in beauty lush and green
So sweetly does she reign
Her heartfelt chorus carries me
It is suggestive of
What I would call, this morning
A feathered song of love

10th grade, beautiful, cheer up, feelings, imagery, nature, spring,
I love the ethereal feel of Spring
as Her energy recharges my heart.
And nourishes Nature's many offspring,
sending snowdrops off to an early start.
I love the warm, caressing touch of Spring,
massaging my skin on a sunny day.
Listening to the robin redbreast sing,
Winter's doldrums silently slip away.
I love the sweet, sensual scent of Spring,
when flowers first magically appear.
And the fresh feeling gentle breezes bring,
assuring me Spring is finally here.
I love the subtle arrival of Spring,
a reprieve from Winter's inclement sting.

loss, sympathylove, perspective,
God called for you untimely,
Six and a half years have passed.
But I can still remember,
The lovely time I saw you last.
You was a welcomed surprise,
On May 15th, 2002.
But then for some reason,
The good Lord summoned you.
A feeling I can’t explain,
The letting go of a son.
He will always be our child,
We love and miss you Aaron.

dedicationlove,
Born and raised in New Jersey,
A true hearted Jersey girl.
With a natural gift of wordplay,
Poems emerge as her pen swirls.
With a love for children, music,
Animals, words, and people.
She lives by the golden rule,
By making others feel equal.
Bearing a kind and caring heart,
She makes friends forevermore.
And spreads her love at home,
With her family and 3 Labradors.
She loves to joke around,
And making others laugh.
Here’s a tribute to our friend,
New Jersey’s own Robin Gass.

I need you to stay with me.
For as long as you can.
I need you to comfort me.
While I hold your hand.
When we make sweet love.
The sun shines above.
While we lay in the sand.
The sun beats down.
There's love all around.
Another golden tan.
Because i need you to stay with me.
For as long as you can.
I need you to stay with me,
Until the end of all time.
We can kiss and hug.
You can show me your love.
While we lay in the sand.
With the sky so blue.
Our love so true.
Rejoice and be glad.
Because i need you to stay with me.
For as long as you can.

10th grade, 11th grade, 12th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade, 9th grade,
If I had to choose Robin Hood, Robinson Crusoe or Peter Pan?
Hmm……
What a quandary.
What a plight.
I truly do not think I can.
I will never grow up, so I have the Peter Pan part down, furiously.
I have always yearned for my own island, and a giant tree house, curiously.
Wouldn’t I love to steal from the rich who have already stolen from the poor?
This choice cannot be done. I need a part of all of them, forever more.

WE HEAR THE LULLABY, THE LAUGHTER,

Yesterday I saw a Robin
That harbinger of Spring
After eating his fill at my feeder
He swiftly took wing
I'd like to know where he came from
I'd like to know where he's going
I hope he is heading South
Away from where it's snowing
He was such a pretty bird
I'd like for him to stay
But I know he has to spread the news
That Spring is on the way
So hurry Mr. Red Breast
Spead the happy word
After such a long winter
It's the best news I have heard
You Gotta Love Those Robins!

appreciation, beautiful, cheer up, cute love, happiness, happy,
This day is quite strange--
I woke up with a perfect smile
I played a different playlist
Not the usual emo songs, at least.
I said hello to the robin in her nest home
While I opened the curtains in my room
And let the bright sunlight in.
I sang loudly in the shower,
Then dusted my face with a bright pink powder.
My coffee tasted like sweet chocolate,
To my surprise, a full breakfast was what I ate.
I passed by strangers and smiled at them
I greeted everyone "good morning"--
This day is quite strange--
I never felt any single regret or pain
Suddenly, I fell in love with being alive again.

My gaze draws to my window sill

Looking toward the heavens
thankful for this day of days

If I could travel back in time I would
Return to the great age of chivalry
To meet Sir Lancelot and Robin Hood
In Merry Old England is where I'd be
I would raise my sword for all that is good
And kiss the hand of my fair lady
To scale the castle wall with the moon above
Just to spend a night in the arms of my love
