Ring Full of Daisies

A ring full of daisies weaved in her hair
adorns a white cotton sundress
as she twirls through the air
a heavenly tune plays only for her
the world's at a standstill
as her dream scenes come true
she's in love with the blue bird
plays tag with the squirrels
she speaks with the sweet swan
understanding each word
she's a vision of lovely
God's gracing gift
nothing restrains her
a princess adrift
with the sun shining down
through cracks in skies mist
her smile is beaming
at peace with life's twists

Marilyn -- a Love Song

Rhapsody playing its crescendo in love's...
Melodic opera's notes; as slowly she lowers
Her sundress, while shyly brushing aside silks
Golden hair gazing into paradise and she smiles
Enchanting her long dark lashes kissing gently my
Warm beating heart her mistress fingers dew within
Every gentle touch destined and nothing can compare
Oceanic fair fondly lying aside her beauty yearnful risen
Spirits to be quenched; thirsting a soothing as she my lips.

She Loves Having Her Oats - Bawdy

Miss Toe Dipper must have her oats Especially when on huge cruise boats She has them each morning Just as the sun’s dawning When she’s had her fill how she gloats When frolicking out on the ocean They’ll rise up and down with the motion As he reaches ‘top deck’ There’s love bites on her neck These antics soon cause a commotion She quickly puts on her sundress And brushes her hair – it’s a mess She feels all at sea After her quickie The captain demands her address! ...Time Could Heal Everything)

standing in the center of this room
once shared between two
becomes one, sealed
behind pixels
clasped with cottonwood

your sundress reveals
my poem
hung across rosemary shoulders
of soft smile echoes
whispers of rain across your cheek

we walk crosswalks of brokenness
careful of ripping too much flesh
knowing at an angels moment, life is silenced

(a sigh from the assassins gun)

mirrors lie to the one who seeks identity
creases steal youth
from times mason jar;
                 -one last glance-
the close of a door
cannot stop the fossilized finger
that locks you away
eclipsed like a locket welded shut

(if only…

Unraveled the Sundress Poem Contest

It was the beginning of a summery season,
In that beautiful dress, adorned with baby blue and pink
Opened back, opened toe sandals; she gave me a wink
That sundress took my breath away, I wanted to say "hello" but lacked a reason

Contest - THE SUNDRESS

    YOUR SUNDRESS
My fondest wish is but to hold
your sundress creased, so I might fold
it on my arm, and feel the you,
as close I pull your body to

my waiting breast, in love again
with who you are, and who you've been.
Your sundress then, placed with great care,
upon my bedpost; hanging there,

with all the love I have to share.

Mix

Confused, as it may be
Love is that insane Mix of feelings
Gad, to Think I spent so much time looking for it
For Her,
As if awakening from a sleep of lost expectation
Drawn perfect, in a sundress, sweet eyes and a smile
It dawned on me, Love….
What caught my eye then spoke to me, She was brilliant,
             I was Thankful I looked.

Yellow Sundress

Ah the sundress that I once owned
Bright yellow with pink roses adorned
It brought such pleasure to my heart
When I wore it and it set me apart
A very special memory it holds
Among its bright yellow folds
Its neck designed with tiny rose blooms
And a dash of an alluring perfume
I set out for a summer ball
With a dainty lace shawl
And there this dress played its lure
For I attracted my man for sure
Since then the dress has this magic pure
Used for every situation unsure
Kept among tissue and a lot of love
For my gals when they’ll be party doves

Perfect Moments

She walked along the warm sandy beach
Cool summer wind blew softly through her fire red hair
It ruffled her baby blue sundress and blew sand around her feet
The waves softly tagged the beach then quickly fled
On the horizon sank a brilliant pool of yellow, orange, and pink
It slowly gave way to the mirror image that over took it
It cast vivid colors into the slowly darkening sky
Yellow, oranges, reds, purples, and blues danced across the clouds
She watched as the moon slowly rose above the glorious mountains
A duet day and night in one moment
Sun & Moon
Day & Night
Land & Water
Love & Hate
All in one perfect moment

Your Sundress

When I woke today, all that could be seen was blackness. The sun did not rise; it killed all my process. Is it the worst damn day? I solemnly profess Pull that blanket back over the stark, empty nothingness. What's another day lost, laying here motionless? You're still lying here next to me; the floor, still wearing your sundress. Is this the best damn day? Of my life, head to feet, with emptiness. Tangled in the void of these blankets and sheets, the two reignite passion, sharing our explosiveness. Let's find that no other space suits us best; let's turn this overcast into our sunshine and happiness.
