The Gypsy Camp

Brass
bells ring
along swamps
shadowy edge.
Children running free;
flutes echoing laughter;
cimmerian eyed beauty
hips swaying to an earthy beat.
Simple suppers roast over fire.
Welcoming the despised plebians home.

Strangers In the House

In this house that love built
Things are not the same
What once was filled with happiness
Is now just filled with blame

Mama started drinking again
When daddy stayed out late
With cold suppers on the table
Salted with tears of hate

No more friday night popcorn
Where we gathered to watch Tv
Now this house is filled with lies
Where once was honesty

What happened to the man an wife,
Who swore to love their spouse?
No one seems to remember me
They're strangers in my house

The little house that love built
Was sold the other day
They tell me that it wasn't my fault
At least that's what they say

Long To See My Lover

I LONG TO SEE
 MY LOVER
SHE'LL BE MY
CHILDREN'S MOTHER
WE'LL GOOD TO ONE
ANOTHER
JUST YOU WANT AND SEE

LOVE AINT ALL THAT COMPLICATED
SHE'LL HAVE ME HUSBANDNATED
GRATISFACTION AND SATISFACTION
I GUARANTEE

I LONG TO SEE
 MY LOVER
SHE'LL BE MY
CHILDREN'S MOTHER
WE'LL TALK AND
HONOR ONE ANOTHER
JUST YOU WANT AND SEE
CLEVER CONVERSATIONS
TALKING AND NEGOTIATING
I LONG TO SEE
 MY LOVER
SOMEWHERE SHE WAITS FOR ME
ROMANTIC SUPPERS
AND SPECIAL EVENINGS
CANDLELIGHT AND KISSING
WE'LL SPEND TIME REMINISCING
JUST WAIT AND SEE
I LONG TO SEE MY LOVER
SOMEWHERE SHE WAITS FOR ME
