Sweetest Love Note

One night a guy & a girl were
driving home from the movies. The
boy sensed there was
something wrong because of the painful
silence they shared between them
that night. The girl then asked the boy to pull over
because she wanted to talk. She told him that her
feelings had changed & that it was time to move on.
A silent tear slid down his cheek as he
slowly reached into his pocket & passed her a folded note.
At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down
that very same street. He swerved
right into the drivers seat, killing the boy.
Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she
pulled it out & read it.
"Without your love, I would die."

The Best Mistake

You made the mistake and now,
your afraid to face this day.

Your thoughts are racing through
and through.

You wonder if your family looks at
you as a disgrace, but you'er mother
takes you and reasures, your very
much loved in grace.

Even though your much to young
for this breathing little thing this
has become.

You couldn't just throw it out
like it was a peice of trash.

So you grow up and take the
path that led you to your best
mistake for years to come.

Teacher's Pet

As I look back, it all seems funny now
Recalling all those awkward teen age years
I pushed the limits farther than allowed
Supposedly when young, we had no fears

Infatuation caught me with the blues
My heart was swollen by love's gentle sting
It was a crush that only left a bruise
Left by the diamond in her wedding ring

The first day I laid eyes on her, I fell
The lightning bolt she was, that shook my world
And to this day I swear I'd know her smell
Could she have read my mind, she'd likely hurled

I hated school but never missed her class
She said she loved me 'cause I made her laugh

First Love

The arboretum looks as it did then
With silver maples dancing in the breeze
Wildflowers bloom within the narrow glen
Remember how we kissed beneath the trees?

One special oak displays the heart you carved
With our initials set within its wall
We were so young and yet our souls seemed starved
So passionate are teens when first they fall

Today I came to view the art we left
Surrounded by the blooms, the trees, the birds
And though my heart seeks you, I am bereft
Of promises defined by long lost words

I miss that passion coursing through our veins
Now you have left and loneliness remains

Sometime Instead of Pink I Like Red

Sometime instead of pink, I like Red
Sometime instead of playing with children,
I want to go on date

Sometime instead of Fishes, I like Swans
Sometime instead of T-shirt,
I want to wear Gowns

Sometime instead of Social problems,
I like to read Love story
Sometime instead of cute girl,
I want to look beautiful lady

Sometime instead of chocolate,
I like to receive Flowers
Sometime instead of meeting him for minutes,
I want to spend Hours

Old Fashioned Christmas

It’ll be an old fashioned Christmas,
with Santa due down the chute.
I bet he Purells his reindeer,
and Lysols his hazmat suit.

It’s an old fashioned Christmas.
We’ll all have on our masks,
and our muffled yuletide carols,
will be just like seasons past.

We’ll observe all the guidelines.
We’ll eat six feet apart.
We’ll have disinfectant under the mistletoe,
and keep safety in our hearts.

Sure, it’s an old fashioned Christmas.
One unique to the times.
The love this year might be careful,
but the feelings are genuine.

My Rhyme

Roses are black.

Violets are dead.

Love is bitterly sweet.

Like a shot to the head.

They say love will kill you.

It will be the slowest form of suicide you've ever met.

Stardust In Dreams

Stardust dreams of you in my teens remain
sacred in hours spent wishing you would be
mine to cherish, to kiss, to love. It was not to
be but your handsome face still lingers in my
thoughts, in church choir songs where you
gently reached out to touch my long auburn hair.

I Miss You

I miss you,
like the sky misses the stars.
like the streets when there are no cars.
like a government that has no laws,
like music, when it is on pause.

I miss you,
like the desert misses the rain
like an addict without cocaine,
like a kiss that misses lips
like actors without their scripts.

Jungle Love

Your sweet nectar
wraps around my senses
like jungle vines
steady drums beating
Your heart near mine

Your strong hands
hold me suspended
by my waist
Just enough pain and strength
against my supple skin
For my taste

The musk of your
sculpted body and the forest
has me going wild
But yet, the tender way you
protect me, reminds me of
Being a child

A safe familiarity
with a strain of animalistic
seduction
Your invisible hold over me
leaves me arrow poisoned
Unable to function

My long dark hair wraps you
with smells of coconut and ocean Sun
your locks full of mud and enemies
Blood
together, my warrior
We make One

A Brutally Honest Valentine's

My darling enigma, my dove
You’re the epitome of my love
Your smile shines at me pearly white
Pale skin shines and glints in the light
Silken locks, obsidian flow
Eyes just like ice, crystalline glow
Peals of laughter ring like a bell
Enchant me; I’m under your spell
You walk with a musical flow
Tiptoeing with softness through snow

But, alas, you open your mouth
Utter tripe spilling out
If only you’d keep your mouth shut.

Sorry

"Sorry" doesn't cut it.
Well neither does a butter knife.
I guess I'll have to say "sorry"
For being in your life.
"Sorry" for being black.
And doing what i do best.
Like RAP, BASKETBALL and SWEAT.
Instead of studying for a test.
"Sorry" for being imperfect
"Sorry" for getting sick
"Sorry" for being a man
"Sorry" for makin' you tick
There are some things you cannot change
Like color and heredity.
There's one thing I forgot to say.
"Sorry" for bein' me.

**************
This is sort of a sarcastic poem. I love me. :)

Enigma's Calling

Extraordinary, I am
Craving for unusual thoughts
Endless exploration without boundary
Understanding the gift I shouldn't fought

Invisible drawings in my mind
Playing with the words in my head
My passion
The food of my soul

I feel so lucky
The random thoughts
A lifetime companion
A self esteem builder
A goal planner
Be my forever life saver

I write more
I talk less
I want to please
I chose to bore

What tickles me the most
Is to know what I'm for
Thinking is my love
When my mind goes empty
That's when I hate

My day dreaming lust
Organizing things in my mind
Playing roles of simulation
Where images of art is my vision
And words of attitude is my heart

My Lifetime Friend: My Mother

MY LIFETIME FRIEND: MY MOTHER

Throughout childhood and adolescent days,
She was my staunchest supporter,
And through teen years and young adulthood
I was glad to be her daughter.
As a mother-in-law and grandma,
She’s there whenever/wherever she’s needed,
And if this was to be her lot in life,
She’s definitely succeeded.
But whatever she is to other folks;
A friend, sister or other,
She is to me, and will always be
MY LIFETIME FRIEND: MY MOTHER!

With You In Autumn Evening

The sweet songs of birds, We hand in hand across the lawn, Pansies white yellow and violet Tossing their heads in the breeze. Somewhere the sound of falling leaves. The sound of squirrel cracking the walnut. Calm weather warm sun, White fluffy clouds forming different shapes, A passenger flight in the blue sky, Sun born in the horizon and about to fade in the horizon, Both our heartbeats echo inside of chest, Shutting and opening of our lips, Your unkempt hair flying backwards, Yellowish west sky. Heart shaped fig leaf's shadow. If I could stop this world from spinning, I would do so, Just to be with you In this autumn evening.

Living Seasons Through

Bodies together
Pressed against the cold, harsh night
We hold on to love

In the sweet, soft spring
We lay on a tall, steep hill
And hold on to love

Summer's baking heat
Hiding in the shade of trees
Still holding our love

The leaves are falling
Crunching beneath our footsteps
Forever, our love

We'll last through seasons
Enjoy our love together
Just you wait, my love.

Blazing With Heat and Passion

Our chemistry is a fire
Blazing with heat and passion
Our feelings are a never ending road
Stretched out with time to share memories

Our eyes are a sunset
Shining bright to create true love
Our lips are the chains
Locked together to seal a kiss

Our hearts are the doors
Open for new experiences together
Our thoughts are a love letter
Speaking words of deep meaning

Being with you,
Is the world to me
Because our chemistry is a fire
Blazing with heat and passion

Not Knowing

I know I made a mistake
a mistake that I cannot change
but I did it unknowing
not knowing the consequences
and there are many of them
not knowing I will lose you forever
and never be in your arms again
not knowing you wouldn't want me back
after all the times I've tried
not knowing I would feel so much pain
my heart aches and yearns for your love
not knowing I would lay crying so many nights
my eyes and head hurting from so many tears
not knowing you would move on
you no longer want me you like someone else
not knowing you wouldn't love me anymore
I still love you and always will

I hate what I did
not knowing the consequences

Remind Me

Remind me when I forget, of all the things you have done for me.
Living and loving so carefree. Remind me when I get upset, you would
hold my body so tenderly, settting my heart and soul free.
Remind me that a love like yours will never be.

Remind me of all the great times we shared, you giving me all the love I
need, and we both helping each other to succeed. Remind me of all the good
in you, so I will know your love is true, then I will know what to do, and that is
to keep on loving you.

Memories Etched In the Sand

Sifting warm sand
through my fingers,
shimmering fine grains
glitter my palm.
Sand,
filled with life’s memories
of nut brown days
of summer.

A soft silk breeze
formed dunes
with our dreams
that summer
when we danced to the stars.
My heart laced yours
listening to the sea
undulating waves of emotion
as we kissed
on the velvet strand.

I still hear
the rhythm of the ocean.
Waves tumbling in unison,
a sweeping sound
gently caressing
as we lay silently
listening to sand
shifting over stone
to the faint chiming
of seashells.

My first love
a sea salted embrace
on a breast of sand.
The memories
forever held
in the sand
in glitter on my hand.

Love Me

Love me
I beg for love with every encounter
just for a touch or a nibble
to feel a warm chest against mine
I want to feel the love of a man
a man who possesses a heart of pure gold
I yearn to feel hands on my hips
and a tongue entwined with mine
such temptations shouldn't take over my youthful mind

You

Just a few more sips
And I'm loving the taste of you on my lips

I like the way you move in my mouth
And when you start to head down south

You are the one I love in deed
Because Coca-Cola you're all I need.

Bully

you pick on the innocent
pray on the weak
leave the unwanted in your dust
harming all in your path

they go home
bruised and beaten
filled with tears
a lump in their throats

still breathing
still a love in their hearts
yet they have more strength
than you ever will
