Ruth Shall Make You Free

Americans come by the clock
A British lass just hikes her frock
The French love a tongue
The Swedes like well-hung
But Left or Right Thai knows Bangkok!

Je Taime

Je t’aime

        I met this French Girl
And I said to her, je t’aime
	I met this German Girl
And l said to her, ich liebe dich
	I met this Italian Girl
And I said to her, tia amo
	I met this Malay Girl
And I said to her, aku cinta padamu
	I met this Korean Girl
And I said to her, sa rang hae yo
	I met this Thai Girl
And I said to her, chan rak khun

        I may know how
to “This” In many Languages
	But I am only
Saying that “I Love You”.

Tham Luang Caves

In the Thai Tham Luang complex of caves

It was not where the children were lost

But the place that Compassion was found!

Dead Ella

Dead Ella

I've forgotten everything that I thought I knew.
Forgotten the people whose stories
I blew
out of my **** to make an impression
on you
and you
and you.
So the woman who said I’d shown her kindness
and thought me some earth mother goddess
I carelessly left behind the texture of her story
that I pried out of her with
cups of tea, gazing out at our bit of sea.
I only remembered that her dead baby was called Ella
and her Thai boyfriend had run off
because it wasn’t love
it was a beach party.

Thai Food Truck

There’s this Thai food truck,
where everybody goes.
The food is really good,
I believe it has a soul.
Vibrations that you feel,
Will put your heart at ease.
Shumai and sticky rice,
brings you to your knees
Loving their guests,
With a joyful attitude.
In love with their craft,
As they cook with gratitude.
Inspirational beings.
Yes that's who they are.
Uplifting the guests,
Those near and far.
Treating us like family.
In a small alley tucked.
Crazy what I learned,
At this thai food truck.

Unholy Smokes

Very popular in our country be.
Cannabis, now eaten as candy?

Thai sticks, so much stronger.
Their "high" lasts far longer.

No wonder people act so crazy.
Get out of a room filled with
unholy smokes, so hazy!

Drive through Berkeley, it stinks.
Fresh air puts you, right in the pink!

Get high on love and creation.
Be yourself~ you are the true sensation!

Thai Reflections

The green tea in its blue and white
porcelain tea cup is full of sunlight.

The dark eyed fortune teller’s
delicate hands
pass over the small cup -
swans skimming low
above a green pond.

 “She will love you forever”
she says,
one pearlescent nail
tracing my life in the tea leaves.

Then:
“but you will never meet her.”

first Draft

I love K food
I love the taste
I love the fragrance
I love the smells
I love the texture
I love the feel
I love how it looks

Korean food is somewhat like
Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai
With some American influences as well
But it is also unique
Distinctive and delicious

The fragrance of Korean food
Is what draws me in
The aroma of garlic, ginger, sesame oil
Soy sauce, red pepper paste, vinegar, sugar
And other spices and herbs
That creates a symphony of scents
That stimulates My appetite
And make My mouth water
