Cupid,
God of immortal love,
Thy sharpest arrows for me
Prepare
For
Thy archery, on my aching heart
To practice,
Be accurate, I THEE, Implore
Because
I will die at once, If THEE miss
The TARGET!

lovelove,
Cupid, why hast thou cursed me with thy bow?
Enchanting my desires and compliments
Unto a woman who seems not to show
The same affections of my hearts contents
Of vibrant colors I pick each a flower
Laying them by her doorsteps where I daze
I dream of her awake at sunlight hour
Kissing her image that my mind displays
Yet I am like the rain above her head
The way she runs away from showered gifts
I never knew inside my heart could shred
Heartbroken by her distant love that drifts
Only if thy arrow and bow had missed
My fate and love for her would not exist

loveheart, heart, love, universe,
Of love there is no antidote nor cure,
A brazen heart knows nothing of the hand,
That guides this Cupid arrow fair and pure,
And pierces through with art that soul can stand.
Of choice the soul knows nothing to begin,
As seeds that scatter aimlessly on clay,
Some grow and flourish unbeknown to him,
That stalks the Earth oblivious and grey.
Confounded he, who is awakened so,
From anaesthetic binding dark as night,
When true love strikes and soul begins to glow,
He see’s a Universe that’s blazing bright.
And brazen heart is smelted down to flesh,
And nourished through with all of loves relish.

love, proposal,
Cupid, drawback your bow, please
Don’t let it miss, don’t let it tease
Release the string, let the arrow wheeze
Squeeze through the trees
Carrying it off in the gentle breeze
Pierce my lover’s heart when I’m on my knees
Cupid drew back his bow while I proposed
She saw the ring in my hand and froze
Weeping shrieks of passion came up close
Caressing my face saying I do when I arose

age, birth, journey, love, lust,
Little Innocence was forged into the world
A shrill Sound flickered around the expecting eyes
Laughter carved out of marble
A statue thought to beat immortality
Yet Fear had a surprise
It crept into the cradle with ease
Laughter was choked
Tears burst instead
And Sadness had a form
Evil found in youth a red soil
Jealousy marched with Envy
Lust befriended Desire
Until cupid threw a bunch of arrows
Adventure appeared
Excitement beyond description
A Thrill with no past
Sentiments were aroused
Pride threw some words
Ego played its part
And when Love meddled to defend its territory
The Heart bled in utter silence!

valentines day,
To love you in every fairest moment
And kiss your tender lips in pure delight
To yearn for you when time is absent
And hold you closer in warm shadowed light
How warm our palms, held in soft embrace
Beneath the sun's flowered fragrant field
As lover's we'll seek a passionate grace
When dreams we find ask our hearts to yield
To dance with you through a life of nights
And cross the floor of days in love with you
Touch eternity when lover's hands take flight
I'll look deep in your eyes so they're not blue
Find beauty in your smiling face my dear
I'll dance with you until we disappear

angel, beautiful, heart, kiss, love, star, stars,
Under a blanket of stars surreal
sparkling diamond crystal cupid strikes home
golden arrow over oceans wavering crumbling seas kneel
Light crested dove presence of an angel
floating love upon your halo crowns Grace
wings dance opening with a fluttering pulse skipping beats
Where the spirit tango's into a pearl's sparkle
unfurling wild steeds crashing salted baited breaths escape
kissing the echoes of one's soul completely captivating eclipses

love, valentines day,
I stand beneath a moon so bright
and ask for you to hear my plight
I yearn to know my love's delights
for that, I'd wait a thousand nights
My plea is gentle and polite
my wish is simple and forthright
I need your help, oh wondrous sprite
to bind our hearts, forever tight
I pray my lover's heart's your sight
and trust your aim be true and right
I beg you, stretch your bow string tight
and send your arrow on its flight
Pierce deeply, Cupid, this I write
and make our love come true this night

fire, lost love,
Love's last light throws ember shadows
sighing coals cast waning arrows
of sobbing flame on lukewarm ground;
twilight spits into the fire,
but cannot slake my starved desire,
bereaved heart cloaked in misery's gown.
How dare Cupid so fickle turn
exchanging smiles for face now stern
stealing my regal red rose crown.

sad love, valentines day,
This Valentine’s, cupid may fail
No flowers or cards in the mail
Our postie called Mike
Joined colleagues on strike
Their actions are beyond the pale!
Our postal workers started a strike today – I’ve read they are delivering postal flowers but there will be no other post for 3 days. I’m lucky we don’t bother with the day but I know many will be upset. Poetic licence used our postie isn't called Mike!
Happy Valentines day to you all

This armed cherub
In diapers, with arrows
This winged archer

Yet only time will tell
If he comes bearing,
God's greatest gift
Or leaves us smitten
and gawking at some girl...

"Emotions are hard to deal with"
That is a statement that everyone who has met Cupid can agree with...
Some would say it a FACT...
Others say it an OPINION...
After dealing with emotions for so long...
I realize that Love has a twin...
Name: Unknown to mankind....
She changes her appearance....
Many of us meet her and never recognize her until the end...
Just like my little twin...
Love's twin looks, feels, and even talks like Love...
One problem...
That's not Love...
Now I can recognize Love...(JRT)
It's ironic but her twin is (JRT)
Long story short...
When you find YOUR Love...
Keep her...

lovelove,
Out of hate, love and beauty,
the eternal triangle,
came Cupid and his arrow,
victim of himself.
~//~ ~//~
Psyche, the daughter of the
king and queen of Sicily,
boasted that she was the most
beautiful woman on the island.
Inflamed, Aphrodite sent eros
to shoot her with an arrow of
desire, which would make her
fall in love with the next man
she met. Eros fell into his
own trap, for upon shooting
her, fell in love with her him
self. Taking her to a secret
place and marrying her. She
was later made a goddess by
Jupiter and Eros (cupid) was
immortalized.

angst, inspirational, loss, love, passion, sad,
Cupids arrows
Must be dipped in poison,
Because I thought hearts were meant to beat,
Not to be broken
In the beginning i was in love
And thought it was all meant to be,
Just me and him, in harmony.
I was going to walk away,
But I decided to give him one last try
Then he hit me, with his solomn goodbye.
Cupid, you aren't always right.
The choices you make
Can backfire and turn love into hate.
Its not anything new to me,
My life has always been filled
With suffering and pain.
But this time its not my fault,
Cupid's the one to blame.

confusion, lost love, love, passion, philosophy, love,
Remembering that Valentine’s
Is just an off kilter lie
And love is cruel and hateful
A salted drink splashed in your eye
Perhaps you will live your life
For no one else’s fame
Clutching for no other’s gaze
Far ways from the game
But no, you want to fall in love
Just like all the rest
Through warning friends will say to you
Alone is for the best
Gods look down and laugh at us
Like a sitcom, only real
And so they grin and snicker
And let their laugher out in peels
Hope is all we try to keep
When love just isn’t fair
There’s just no help for us you see
‘Cause Cupid doesn’t care

devotion, emotions, longing, love, romantic love,
I’ve giving you flowers since we met,
with this gentle message
I hope you won’t regret.
Your natural beauty is what I chose.
Like this flower,
One Perfect Rose.
Life is a garden full of
Daisy, Dandelions and Daffodils.
But you are the one I chose,
One Perfect Rose.
Cupid uses a bow I suppose,
a flowers language always knows,
that within these peddles
my heart is enclosed.
One Perfect Rose.

lost love, love, teen, love, time,
Love can be many things
but it cannot be unsure.
Once you get hurt it's painful
like a disease with no cure.
I don't care to much for love
my loving days are over.
I don't spend money on buying gifts
don't take time to meet a brother.
Why waste your time on dates
put your love on the shelf.
And be proud to stand up and say,
I don't love you, I love myself.
I can go on and on for days
talking about love but it's lust.
I should have shot cupid 2 years ago
because it's him I don't trust.
I hate the thought of being in love.
It gets old, you run out of luck.
So if anyone ask about love,
tell em' the truth, love suck!

Leaves footprints
A warm kiss
Smiling inside
I pass to you
form one soul
As sunshine colours
A bouquet rainbow
So pretty
in the sky
Kissing angel tears
Falling mist
Venus who loves you
Worshiping
a smiling sun
Life blood
of our being
Warmth in
her embrace
Smiling master
of light
My beautiful cupid
Kissing golden rays
You are my sunshine
Reflections of you
A sparkling within
The heart of Venus
Who will forever
love you
Wrapped up
in your blanket
One of love

A setting

You are my light
One shining
