pirouetting across white cap and trough valley
through an impassioned performance of love set free
in a vampish way.
A persistent tease, she sets her mind to dally
with Eros’ desirous heart as her victory,
only to break it with her vigorous sally.
Darkened midnight skies find her in malicious glee
as she counts coup for a final mental tally
and she continues en l’air on her odyssey
in a vampish way.

joy, love,
Close gently now my eyes~
Covered with star blankets
Almost like starlit rivers!
Gently blessing my eyes.
But most of all, my heart.
The trail of hearts I loved.
And, magically, never lost.
All sparkle so gloriously!
Memory, when it comes to love,
Does not exist for me
Nor in a funeral pyre lay.
We are all in intimacy bound...,,
In a galaxy of eternal play.
On a love Odyssey always.
Where loneliness has no home.
Together, forever, in love,
With my Iovers, I eternally roam
In a trail of hearts home.

lost love, travel,
"What is an odyssey without a quest?" - quote by author of this poem
Over land and mountains, valleys and hills,
Daring on your own – to cross a vast sea,
You told me you had done this all just for thrills.
Surely you’d had other reasons to travel
So far from home and for two whole years.
Even now, I feel my life with you unravel.
Your wanderlust engulfs you, blinding you to my tears.

poetry,
As they face the days of their gray sunset,
And slowly walk in memories they find.
They'll gather reflections when love was met.
With wrinkled hands of time clasp to remind
To count a thousand stars when love was new.
When love from two hearts shared became refined,
And every sky walked beneath was blue,
Their odyssey traveled etched in the mind.
In dreams of true love still cradled beyond.
Kept warm by passion everlasting.
Two lovers formed and merged in quiet bond.
Entwined through time with its silent passing.
Two hands need to clasp in a love secure,
To claim love's beauty with its precious allure.

Touch the clouds embracing heaven
Flying like a bird high in the sky
Cast a coin into a wishing well
Praying a loyal love you will find
Search the farthest horizons
Go to the most distant shores
Pray that you will find the one
Whose amazing love will endure
Be very patient in your Odyssey
And one day you will surely find
That love which was once elusive
Will be yours for an endless time.

With gleam my toad and me
Everlasting our love will be
As green grass under a willow tree
Happiness is a hip-hop
On a lily pad made for two
By choice I weaved this odyssey
Full of joy and merriment
Ladylove, my prince
All cloaked in emerald green
Sweet as honey from a busy bee
Enough is a kiss from that toad to me

age, growth, journey, life, self, wisdom, world,
Through restless decades I have tried to learn,
From journeys more mute than ready to teach,
Sifting through grains of sand of no concern,
Looking for truths clouded by half-truths’ siege.
Days fill with bustle when I’m keen to delve;
Not enough is gleaned, though I have inquired,
Save some blinkered thoughts of love, life and self,
Of this odyssey, oft the mind has tired.
With narrowed eyes I have tried to behold,
A clear sight of me and the whole true world,
Till one day I found I am grey and old,
And not half the wisdom has yet unfurled.
Long ago I came, a searcher at heart,
In a light incomplete I shall depart.

Will be a day of doom

You cannot be trusted
I must vamoose before

As I give my valediction through
My poetic euphuism

Words would inspire,
my femme fatale bard.
From across ocean deep,
we talked long in the night.
And now as you sleep,
I contemplate your sight.
Poignant your rhyme,
from fathoms within.
Stimulated my mind,
now time to begin.
Head spinning with wonder,
paradox perfectly clear.
Your stanzas I ponder,
heart permanently seared.
Is it time to surrender,
my citadel inside.
Your vision so tender,
my soul open wide.
Our odyssey does start,
culmination unknown.
Words whisper my heart,
mind already blown.

had a glorious end,

Your body was churning out
a religion.

meticulously sliced
through lingering clouds
to sculpt away the web of darkness
of night
i broke off a piece of time
and used its jagged edges
to scrape away the corroded pain
of doubt
today I will
pull out words
and paint images of life
on a paper canvas---
chisel out a song of love
and feel and smell
the warm breath of God
soothing my sweet serene soul
Would if you would---arise
come journey with me
in the ecstasy of a poetic odyssey---
wandering the Odin-like caverns
of the fertile womb
of my mind’s coming
to meet the morning’s dawning.

baby, loss,
I could hear two hearts
Cry outward in delight
See our love, our child
This amazing sight
His eyes so full of curiosity
So ready for his odyssey
From five small fingers
Wrapped around one
I came face to face with love
From this child, this son,
Through yawns, and smiles
Wide eyes and dreams for miles.
The majesty of life can set sail
Like dandelions in a breeze
And what once was so real
Can take flight above the trees
And with tear in eye
We must say goodbye
But as heavy as my heart
Must now be
I've had the privilege
To know little Henry
And in this world full of sorrows
He will forever light all my tomorrows.

born of Big Bang cosmic accretion,
in my Andromeda astral abode

Energy lost, turning to a white dwarf,
sucked by the hollow in black hole,
I disappeared uncounted eons ago,
sprouted as a new star in another galaxy.
But I still shine in your seamless sky,
my virtual silver dust drizzles
across light years on lovers’ hearts,
entwined by threads of apparent love.

The death of once-great swans I oft' lament;
and ask in vain, “Where have all the bards gone?”
No more are written lines as eloquent
as in the days of Poesy's ancient dawn,
when Homer sung the epic war for Troy,
and the odyssey of a Greek-hero king;
or, when the poet Petrarch sung for joy
of Laura, his love; and Dante, whose dayspring
of the heart was Beatrice. The Romantics
of bygone days, alas, are forgotten!
The lyric odes of Keats, the Byronics
of George Gordon, are now misbegotten
by great reams of abysmal, free-verse styles
today ill-writ by mental juveniles.

Where gummy bears hold hands and sing
Where all your wishes are topped with cream
Close your eyes and fade away
Until the dawn of a brand new day
Let fairy dreams and fantasy
Take you on an odyssey
And when you wake I’ll still be here
To hold you close and love you dear
And guide you through another day
Until your dreams come back to play
Lay down now, it’s time to rest
Your dreams tonight will be the best

To journey forth beyond it
an odyssey of sensuality
To vanquish this silky foe
an obvious eventuality.
It’s your soul and passion
I fight valiantly to gain
Banished all your will now
for an eternity I shall reign.
