If Love Does Not Live (Sonnet For Celene Crescent)

If love does not live so that love may live,
Wrecked on rugged rock like a pirate ship;
Tiresias speaks to hearts—no love to give,
Darkness and void with no inspired lips;

If love is quashed short of its golden prime,
Like dinosaurs smashed by a meteorite;
Crushed from its age of blossoming on time,
Like breath strangled from life not to unite!

Then O’ love, send me Pegasus to ride,
Spread your wings—lift us to Zeus in the sky;
Touching constellations with them abide,
Creating cherished crescendos for weepy eye:

Lightning life beaming love from golden clouds
Descending passion upon earth erasing shrouds!

Something Beautiful

I want to write you something beautiful
Can I show you I am right here
I would live all my life alone to prove that
I'm so madly in love with you

When were apart
I can't breathe
You have all the right parts
You fit perfectly in my heart

What you do to me
Is something beautiful
My missing puzzle piece
Pirate my seas

You're all I can see in the horizon
This love navigates me like a compass
I pray it leads me to something beautiful
If it doesn't ill keep on trying
until my last breath meets the face of death

I have a great love for you
The unknown troubles us two
I'll be forever alone if I have to
Because I want something beautiful with you

Slade and Jade the Mermaid

There once was a pirate named Slade, had a crush on Jade the mermaid. Asked her out on a date, thought this love was his fate... turned out she was there to get laid!

Pirate

Here in the middle of the nothing I'm lost, I've wanted every single thing for me, i
wanted something better, but i just noticed that i already had every singel thing i
wanted, every single thing i needed, now i'm sailing alone looking for that thing i've
lost and now i need, i've lost something the biggest chest wouldn't hold, the money
wouldn't buy, i've lost you my heart.

Heart of Gold

Heart of Gold

She camouflages her gold
vaulted in smiles
shrouded in humor
glimmers of hope suspended
her armor is made to shield
arrows of affection deflected

Amour was histories last dance
only a pirate of captains rank
would understand this ancient map
splintered shovel may be rusted
sea salt takes its toll
every pirate seeks a treasure
and sails the world to know
where such gems may be buried
alas when you find good fortune
put your feet to land
traverse fields of flowers
and give that gal your hand

Kiss her tenderness, buried beneath
lofty passions
after a heart so pure
treasures to beholden
love often interred far en deep

Feast Upon Your Words

Greetings, all you literary ghosts haunting old reams like attentive hosts. What secrets will you reveal tonight, what magic wish will you bring to light? Adventure appeals to every age when stories flow from the written page. Will you sail a pirate ship with me, our hearts in tune with the wind and sea? Perhaps instead, we will chart the stars or peruse ancient scrolls stored in jars. And turn snips of exaggeration into gems of imagination. Is it your subtle wisdom I find wafting into my subconscious mind? Tell me tales of love and fledgling birds; for I wish to feast upon your words.

Jack Sparrow

Jack Sparrow
Jack is the coolest pirate of all,
I wonder he never brushes his teeth at all.
Caribbean sea he goes around,
he finds the treasure but never digs a ground.
He has a ship of his own,
Never does he leave it to drown.
His ship is as cool as him,
He has umpteen weapons to trim.
Jack looks so creepy for all who see him,
Sailors are scared but I still love him!

Wild and Free

There comes a pirate ship a-sailing by,
Its shameless crew all wicked vagabonds,
They sail the seas where’re skull and bones fly,
From near and from far to the great beyond.
Each pirate marked by ink upon his back,
Will make their victims walk the deathly plank,
Their lost souls are blacker than any black,
To all the countless ships their crimes have sank.
Yet should a pirate ever fall in love,
He will treat his dame with gentle measure,
Such beauty his heart has nothing above,
Except, maybe, his lust for his treasure,
On movie screens pirate is wild and free
Not the feared nightmare found from history.

Queen of the Spanish Main

Like a buccaneer
Sailing the Spanish main
The vivacious creature
Swept into my life
And like a pirate
Went for my treasure trove
Pillaging my heart
And stealing it away
Leaving my soul in chains
And my coffers empty

Childhood Memories

Perusing old photos of friends; refreshes childhood memories. And their silly smiles take me back to a great summer had by all. A searing sun tanned our skin bronze; while we chased tadpoles in the creek. We searched for lost pirate treasure; pledging to be friends forever. Trust forged the links of our friendship, flipping frowns into happy smiles. Each face has a place in my heart; where it enjoys eternal youth. Time played tunes that'll never repeat; while we danced to its unique beat. And our innocence was complete, enjoying life and having fun.

Sea

Why does the sun die?
All captains view lively, rainy waves.
Endure quietly like a cold wind.
Why does the whale wave?
Endure swiftly like a misty breeze.
Why does the girl travel?
Shores endure like clear shores.
Shores travel!
Golly gosh, loves!
Old, big ships roughly desire an old, rough shark.
Clear, old clouds swiftly command an old, small mast.
Courage, desolation, and faith.
The sail endures like a small mainland.
All gulls love misty, cold winds.
The captain sails like a stormy pirate.
The mainland rises like a clear seashell.

Pirate Hats and Sugar Spray

twist my arms in sailor's knots.
oh heart of my heart,
oh heart,
oh.

my love is in the tulip fields,
singing by the storms departure.

A Pirate Name of Jeeves

Once upon these fine Seven Seas
There was a pirate name of Jeeves
He plundered and took
Escaped every hook
Until love bug put him on knees.

Her name was Molly Queen of Dame
Her treasure chests were of great fame
He caught her blue eye
And there was a sigh
Mr and Mrs is new game.

Be the Lips

The vein awakens the morning
and the half lip quivers
to the steps of a finger blow
away pirate kisser, lease
the sunset and the kiss
all waking dew by 6:00 am--
eternity licks off air on loose
addiction to summer breath.

It was her lips cold as the midnight
winter, stuck to the ice curve
of metal; last night's meal innocent
affair the rose of cards melts.
Is your heart giving birth to feathers?
Do you fly to the arms that haunt you?
Lips to the one, your love.
Eyes to open the spirit.
Roam.

Death of the Bride

The room was calm 'n dark inside,
Out in the woods was the fratricide,
But lying on the floor was the bride,
Covered by blood from side to side.

They were to get married in private,
But were attacked by a hired pirate,
Who sailed from Rome to Hakodate,
To "finish off" an enemy of the state.

A Major who had betrayed her nation,
By trading very important information,
To terrorist planning an assassination,
Which was to cause fear 'n aggression.

The bridegroom gazed at her in disbelief,
Wiped off his tears using a handkerchief,
Walked out of the dark room full of grief,
And headed to his home without his lief.

Away Too Long Pt. 1

We've been away too long
Together we belonged
I still wonder if our feelings are strong
I miss your voice, I miss your touch
I miss your hair, I miss your blush
I bet you never knew I had a crush
Times we've spent, they've passed so fast
We did have a first, but we wont have a last
I miss you a lot, I hope you know
I'll never forget when we met a year ago
desperate times call for desperate measures
I'm the pirate, and I found you, my treasure

Fantasy

I'm living in a world of fantasy, gone is my sanity. I feel like an actress playing the role of a lifetime or like a great mime with only movement and sound.Or anything goes with no bounds.
I think I could win a Grammy or an Academy Award,or play a pirate and fight with swords.
Oh but yet reality is a ***** and the sight of it makes me itch.
My vision is clear and in my sight maybe a comedy or love story but nothing that has fights.
An animation now that would be cool just sipping on a cold one out in the pool.
But yet my fantasy world will just have to wait, unless Warner Brothers decides to open the gate.

Dreamy

The beauty I see in you is a dream
and fills my soul with a sense of wonder
with glittering sky and a soft moonbeam
like a pirate it's my heart you plunder
when your eyes cast their spell, pull me under
to become a warm and magical glow
and invite crystal flames as passions grow
as we reach the realm of love's dreamy bliss
with fantasies, only our souls can know
when we lay with nirvana dreams and kiss

We Encourage Reading

“Where is she?” Auntie asked. Not reading again, I hope.”
“She surely is,” her parents replied. “She is no kind of dope.”
“I want her to go out and play, travel, and make a friend.”
“Not right now,” her niece told her. “Not until I get to the end.”

“Why does she love it so?” her auntie asked, not understanding at all.
“She travels the world in her novels, she can be miniature or tall.
One day she is a pirate, the next day a giraffe or race car or an atom bomb.
We encourage it because it keeps her safe, and happy,” said her Mom.

La Reina Incognoscible

My Queen passes by the crowd
Yet no one sees her crown
She tucks it in her Curly hair
Unless no one’s around

It’s bejeweled with Diamonds, Pearls, and Emeralds
Pirate treasures from the deep
And underneath the crystal crown
Rests the face of the one unique

When I see her strolling through the streets
With a rapid sort of bop
I fling myself unto my knees
As if this Creature is a shock

Upon my knees forever I shall stay
Paying homage to her frame
For she is the one whom cannot be known
Yet I love her just the same

Ache and Distance

do you dream about me
she asked
you should be asking
do i ever wake up from
your presence
i answered
and what's a man in love
but a pirate in the seas of
missing
eyes wide open
yet her facial lines
are his horizons and
signs
and what's sleep
but changing the
meeting somewhere
dimensionally deep
what's heartache in the
presence of distance
she asked
it's tear sized blood drops
running on the cheeks of
time somewhere
i sighed

Pirate Ship On the Horizon

Things were going so well
Warm summer days
of love , friendship and peace
It seemed that they would
     go on forever
        But what's that
I see in the distance?
     It's a pirate ship -
the skull and crossbones
on it's flag
    Hearts beat
a little faster
    "the dreadful has
already happened"
    The pirate ship
is coming closer
    Breathe in deeply
    Let's hope it's not
for the last time
    While the waves gently
lap against the shore
    We learn once more
    the meaning of fear
Let us pray now!
Let us not forsake hope!
Sinister eyes peer out
at us
     as we seek refuge
From these dark masters
      of the deep
