Angel's In the Wind

It howled down the canyon
Like a wolf on a ridge
No longer invisible
As it rocked the bridge

It came with a chill
It came with a bite
I remember it hit me
Just before night

I stopped to listen
For I could hear
A voice from my past
One that I hold dear

It carried a scent
I’ll never forget
Along with a memory
That I’ll never regret

As it blew through me
Sweetheart I knew
The wind carries angels
Ones just like you

Written for the voices in
the wind contest.

Howling At Love

Howling
Like the wolf cries
Screaming foreboding skies
Yelling for your love till sunrise
The erring echoes of your love reprise
Tangled tears that follow surmise
Bitter sorrows capsize
With empty eyes
Howling

Moonlight

Moonlight
shadows glisten
like sparkling diamonds
on lapping waves which wash over
our toes as we stroll barefooted along
the shore of the deserted beach
how I love evening walks
with you in the
moonlight

A Midnight's Trail

Your poetry talks to me in the moody night
a voice of indigo telling me secrets of pain and love
while Luna licks my ear with impatience for my excitement,
I begin to walk faster, like a wolf on a scent, your red scent,
following shadows into sounds of howling winter
seeking just one more whisper from your passion
one more paw print in the hard snow of destiny,
will I ever find your lair of love in the cold night
I swear that I can see the copper glow of your eyes -

Sly Fox

slinking through the woods
finding camaraderie only from wolves

heartless, relentless, self-absorbed
predator of the vulnerable

devouring her soul
crushing her hopes
devastating dreams
finding satisfaction when she succumbs

the fox knows nothing of love
seeks but conquest
revels in despair of victims

takes her carcass down to the river
washes purity from her tormented soul

she saw feigned promise in his eyes
the fox, the wolf, the demon

who devastates
devours
crushes
while grinning with satisfaction

Don'T Look Back Track

You played your pipe for me to dance,
as puppet master, worked the strings,
but today my heart will pirouette;
I am giving back the gold nose ring.

Last night I saw just how it is
Between yourself and naive me;
you are the wolf, I am the lamb
always destroyed in repartee.

You think I cannot live alone
without your condescending reign;
you won't hear Arrivederci play,
I won't come back to Rome again.

This love train has left the station;
It is speeding down "don't look back track."
Goodbye to disappointing love;
I'm moving on to be exact.

Unity

Long ago on this land we were all one
There was unity between man, earth, moon and sun
Man hunted and fished with love for the land
He had respect for his kingdom and all at hand

The white man came in numbers strong
Destroying what had been there so long
Hunting man and animal with such brute force
Mercilessly, ruthlessly, with no remorse

In the name of progress many died
The wolf and the bear and the eagle cried
When the smoke had cleared and the battle done
The earth and man were no longer one

They tell us they take for human need
But the truth be told, 'twas for human greed
It will take centuries to undo what's done
To restore our unity with earth, moon and sun.

I See a Day

I see a day when mankind will say
   Let us our differences downplay
when the wolf will lie down with the lamb --
Hearken to the shofar blast of the horn of the ram

I see a day when every husband and wife unite
to keep the bonds of matrimony pure white
when children feel the love and care they so deserve
when families dwell in peace, no stress on their nerves

I see a day when the earth is back in equilibrium
without carbon overload or environmental destruction
when mankind treats our wonderful world with awe
when he respects Nature and Natural Law...

These visions may perhaps sound like mere dreams
Let's make them come true, on wise plans' streams

Scenes of Spring Magic

Stage is set

Participants in place

A wolf moon smiles

Bright stars palpitate

Roses in a garden

Lovers sitting on a bench

Hand sending messages

Lips kissing to undress

Bodies on fire

Temperature’s hot

A voice sweetly caressing

Baby don’t stop

Owl hoots Whoo Whoo

Squirrel’s a little bit shy

On the screens of our lives

Eternal Light

With peace and love
I kneel a lamb
possessed by the wolf
within my own darkness howls

A son of the Father
Bowing the head to his mercy
Grace in shame a sinner weeps
who bit from the forbidden fruit

Knowing it's agony
in the garden of life's sufferings
Seeking his forgiveness
Oh Most Holy Lord

Always you dwell God most high
Almighty inside the heart
Light of Our Creator
there is no good inside

Dark nights of a soul's pain
tears of remembrance
As you sit with me alone
I grow stronger in faith

Stolen

It was taken away,
	stolen at night,
when I wasn’t looking, which isn’t right.

It was pulled from me,
	as I lay asleep,
taken like a wolf would take out a sheep.

I had offered it up,
	as a precious gift,
but now in my chest is a giant rift.

A thief I had loved,
	turned away from me,
and let the true nature of that thief be.

How do I get it back,
	I want a fresh start,
but how do you replace a stolen heart?

His Little Sheep

I didn't realize how hard it'd be
To sit here where I am
Listening to words I used to love;
Now being the wolf among you lambs
In my seat, I began to cry
The tears you all could see
Your heads are turned but I still feel
All your eyes on me
I can't stand to hear He loves me
and that He's greater than my heart
That he'd readily forgive me
If in the path of repentance I'd start
I can't seem to do it all
Into this world, I'm far too deep
New friends, new goals, new everything
I'm no longer His little sheep

She Still Cries

The woman
That I have loved with lust
But she
Has loved me with heart and soul
Can say
That I have made our trust a maze
Like the fox that cried wolf
I played a game to gamble truth
And now
I've taken steps to clean my feet
Which gathered debris of solicited lies
...so on and so
The nights we try to communicate
Baffled and confused I wonder why
She still cries

We Are the Light of the World

Darkness isn't born,
It is created by snuffing out the light,
Sorrow does not exist,
Except in the absence of happiness.

Dark people with dark intentions,
Appearing as a sheep but with the heart of a wolf,
Evil things lurking in the shadows,
Lying in wait to devour the sons of GOD.

But just as the light illuminates and vanishes a shadow,
so also when we gather every knee shall bow,
For love, Hope and Faith is our symbol of strength,
No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper.
BECAUSE,

WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Twin Flame

their love is fire, the kind with rage
like a beautiful bird enclosed in a cage
a beauty & a beast but
beauty in the beast, to say the least
his dark made up all her shades
and her light pushed his shadows until they caved
holding her tight he diminished her fears
healing his scars as she wiped his tears
together a storm to be missed
two sparrows in a hurricane as they kissed
an electric force connects their hearts
and like the words i speak, they make art
he will love her like the wolf to the moon
and she will come to see him and leave to soon
they are soul mates, two in the same
burning beauty and rage in one flame.

My Little Sister

My little sister so wild and free
Always walking ahead of me
Never afraid to take any test
Papa’s pride, his little princess
You loved a brave as wild as you
And to this day you still do
But there was another who loved you so
And he stepped aside and let you go
You never looked back to see
Another loved him it was me
And now after all this time
The wolf has his doe
And the hawk is mine

Wolf

I am animal
I am the wolf
your hunter and gatherer

I will hunt for you
lay my kill
at your feet

I will bite you
mark your neck
with my teeth

If the moon is full
I will howl for you

I become the wolf
for you this night
just to taste the blood
of your chocolate lips

In my wolf skin
I seek your summer brown body

I follow the trail
of your beating heart

The hunter becomes the hunted

You wrap your arms around me
Captured by your embrace
Time in relativity slows
all else fades into nothing...

Echoes Deeply

Sweet talking buttercups
when your petal lips moved
I was held in a butterfly trance
floating warm heartbeats of breath
skipping inside drum rolls
batting lids whisper silently
behind scenes on chamber walls
precious deep gem shines
Dancing vision of beauties light
dark jewels sparkling star luster treasure
Princess pearl of the night sky
alone wolf cold moon in shadows of life
smiling beautiful silver lining thoughts
dreaming of your smile
The happiness in special moments
your eyes such mirrors dazzling me
in you I found a beautiful soul
floating with the spirits
singing an angel

The Winter Wolf

Silent whispers on broken vows, I cling to my dream of you.
You are the forest’s end, the wolf’s grin.
Climbing to the edge of bliss and sin,
There’s noting to obscure the view.

Looking to the sky laced with clouds, my eyes pierce the haze.
You danced into my world as a child.
Untamed, beckoning me to the wild.
You unleashed my wings, bloodying my back, spirit crazed.

Little wolf, silver blade by my side.
We ran through the wood,
Constantly seeking to bloody our prey.
I am full on the carrion and broken pride.

Now you are gone, and all I have is your ghost.
A child, a maiden, a lover, a memory.
Frost grips at the beautiful ivory,
To the life I lead, to the path you craved most.

The Wolf and I

'O to feel the night,
wrapped up in some little cove of the world,
  some niche of damp love;
my creatures of the night howl to tunes
  of the midnite minstrel ---
  (path of the lone-walker)
and stare to dawn with a sorrowful melody

'Tis not bitter sometimes to hold a thing of damp love,
in the throes of days end,
  forsaken,
  in drunk mood....
staring your soul in the stars

My canvas is the celestial dome,
  the harvest moon....
I am the painter of night who walks alone,
  singing a sorrowful melody,
  staring to dawn,
  am I
