The Squirrel

~My Nutty Squirrel Poem~

Up in a tree, on a branch
Now you see me, now you don't!

Sneaky and fast, I'm adorable
Now, why would you hunt or shot me for fun?
Do you like, how fast I run?
I'm not just another chipmunk
Stuffing my face with nuts,
I'm classy and beautiful,
The best part of nature.....

Red pointed ears, I hear you drawing near.
Chuckle, chuckle, caffeine free
I saw you looking at my fine coat.
Fluffy and curious, touch me and I'm Calling PETA!
See YA--- Life Is Beautiful!!!
I'm stuffing these nuts back into my mouth
and Jumping onto another tree :) The End
........
Love The Squirrel from another World.

The Park Bench

The Park Bench

I wish I was a poet
With magical words
To make people see all of the absurd
Tears fly, paintings in pastel die

When we look into our mirrors
We sometimes miss
What love dumps upon all of us
We shed tears, for we forgot to shed fears

I have no legs, nor any crutches
So my voyage has ended
I only observe
Sadness upended

When goodness is confused
When gestures are refused
When the kiss that could have been
When a poets tear seems obscene

The one who hears is often deaf
The deaf sometimes have nothing left
If I could give a kiss away
I would give it to lovers with hearts that sway

Hold Your Head High

keep dwelling in the clouds, my mentor said
and shun those who would drag you through the mud
their heinous wish to keep you seeing red
is Satan's lure for drawing out first-blood

for in this world malevolence abounds
and evil lurks in every corner nook
to tit for tat in idle chat with clowns
is like a fish who can't resist the hook

but in the sky there's love and harmony
you'll find yourself immersed in dreams of peace
I'll help you in your quest to stay angst-free
together we'll find joy and sweet release

forever may this be my firm resolve
to rise above the fray and thus evolve

Callused Fingers

Callused fingers press vibrating strings; drawing passion from a violin. With the burnished wood snug to his cheek, the violinist plays from his heart. Subtle vibes saturate my being as crying strings elicit feelings. And expounding on love's betrayal; music stirs the imagination. His bow hangs like a lingering kiss; savoring the taste of ecstasy. And then, with tears trickling down his cheek, he unleashes unbridled fervor. Experiencing pangs of rapture; sound slips the bounds of reality. And every note penetrates my heart; igniting fiery flames of passion.

If We Could Dance

Strumming my heartstrings Drawing me in with each note Playing the most beautiful song Hearing the words you wrote Filling in all the gaps The melody is for me Beating loud and clear Setting my heart free Only distance keeping us at bay You still have me in your trance Two hearts apart, beating as one How I wish we could dance A soft kiss upon your delicate hand Holding you close, holding you tight Slow dancing under the moonlit skies The perfect girl, the perfect night

Supreme Being

When you came to me the earth revolved then stood still
dressed jewel of purest sunlight circled in gold mere reflections

Through the oceans wings sailing inside waves embrace
we rise and fall drawing from a breathless air filled with Peace

Caught up within the sparkle lustre that sings from an echo returning
twinkling stars light warmly together ally an alliance between souls

Captured brightly the spirit of eternal beauty brings, under glowing beams
when we act together as one temple forever crowns the heart to Love

Forest Fortress

A forest - sunlight squeezing through the arms
uplifted by its countless ancient trees.
So fortress-like; her inner royal charms
even the time-worn traveler seldom sees.
What culture lies within? What foreign tongue
is chattered nervously by bird and beast?
What joyful hymns of revelry are sung
which, by my drawing near, in fear are ceased?

My love, those hidden parts I find unique
are those which I would most desire to know.
Dark corners which I least wish you to seek -
the very ones you need the light to show.
Though brighter are the colors from outside,
let's pledge to let no hues within us hide.

Beauty

dancing
in one's mind
beauty in the eye
that of the beholder

emotionally
with love
sweetest darling
played using
the silken cords
on a spiders web

weaving together
feelings touching tender
soft and so
very beautiful
fall weak
at the knees

emotions churning
unbelievable softness
like those of a child
whispering
in tenderness

how this world
from so many colours
drawing from your eyes
looks and shines
amazing beauty
full of adventure

love it shines
in the light
of a thousand candles
flickering dancing
sweet gentle breeze
in the soul

softly landing
floating spirits
loves beauty
a million miles away
in another space
known as
paradise

I'Ll Hold Your Hand

I'm growing old
My body is weary
I don't want to leave you
I still see you quite clearly

Please hold my hand

Are you still there
My time is drawing near
My vision is blurry
I can barley hear

Please hold my hand

I can no longer see you
The lights have all gone out
Oh, my darling I love you
But my time has run out

Please hold my hand

I see you quite clearly
Bent over my bed
Tears run down your cheeks
That you have shed

I know your heart is breaking
Please dry your eyes and see
I haven't gone far, reach up to me

And I'll hold your hand

Three Messengers

This morning I hiked a wooded trail
And while quietly strolling along,
I was pleased to hear a lonely quail
A singing his mournful song.

And then again this afternoon
While drawing water from the well
A loon began it's soothing croon
That echoed 'cross the dell.

And in the evening as I dined
While resting in the swing
A mockingbird was very kind
To perch close by and sing.

Then later, as I knelt to pray
In telling God, "I love You"
That, I wished to hear Him say
Just once, He loved me too.

Then Father spoke! "Don't you know?
My son of course I love you too!
I sent couriers today to tell you so
Did my three messengers not find you?"

No More Masks

No More Masks (Nothing to do with the contest)

I had no idea, when we met in the park
that you'd draw a heart in the air
and I pulled on a rope, in having the hope
Of somehow drawing you near
But I couldn't talk, while trapped in a box
As I saw you walking in place
Now how can I find
The love, that was mime
For I can't remember your face

Forever Loved

Tonight
in the Heavens sky
A journey inwards
Begins unravelling out

Golden moondogs kiss
Sweetheart sparkles
Drawing one circle
ring around a rose

Warmly embracing silk feelings
A slim
milky lunar smiling vision
Sharing darkness with stars wishes fly

Frogs sing
a croaking choir
capturing one lullaby
In the stillness of night

Thoughts alone
They drift away
on a breathless air
As your baptised in the heart

Bathing
in the living water
of beauty
Which flows from deep inside

Salt
you will
always remain
undying beautiful

My Hobby

I love to sketch with a pen and ink; to feel the flow of the lines that I think; as they pour their way down my arm to my hand and softly on the parchment land. I love to sketch the shadows deep, as from hand to pen point they creep. The joy of all the special nibs; My pen will use; the page to fill. Oh how Muse does love the ride, as down my arm and pen she slides; her words of wisdom, gushing forth, like rain drops spatter on my porch. The rhythm of the curvatures; the notes that play, they will ensure, A lovely drawing, revealed to me I’ll dive into its reverie.

Only Because I Love You

Every night, before I close my eyes,
I have this aching in my ear.
Something else bothers me tonight,
Your title of wife is drawing near.

That's what your mother is or was,
And she still has a crush on me.
Just be sure you don't rush,
Know that you love him honestly.

I want you to know I loved you,
Though we didn't do right sometimes.
I could not stop thinking of you,
I think the choice you've made is right.

I could hate it again and again,
Yet out of love I'd let you go.
I believe that's the right decision,
Now I kiss goodbye with this poem.

A Part of Me, a Part of You

Art splashed upon naked walls
spilling life where water falls
dams shall break, setting free
a part of you,  a part of me

Blues and reds and yellows blend
painting stories that'll never end
clouded magic becoming clear
inhibitions lain, drawing near

Blushed the light, furtive peeks
gentle strokes grace her cheeks
in vestal hands the palate pleads
crimson tincts that touch up needs

colored moments bleeding through
it's a part of me, it's a part of you

A Heart Ajar

A heart ajar
a dream half seen
in a chest
whose lid was
quickly fastened.

A heart ajar
a smile half
delineated
upon a flake
of snow
which in
no time melts.

A heart ajar
a long beautiful sentence
whose verb
never dared
to come out
in the light.

A heart ajar
a poem half read
before you reach
its climax
and touch
its heaven.

A heart ajar
a love
drawing near
like a ray of sun
you try to catch
but will
always flee.

Love
and it may
open,
though.

She Lives

She flushes and drops bright eyes
to hide my image...
I cup her face and drown it.

     [me]

She breathes hesitantly, mouth
Pressed and obstinate...
I gather her corners up.

     [drawing that smile again]

She welts tearlines onto the
Pale perfection: skin...
I wet my thumbs, agonized.

     [her sorrow breaks]

She sleeps, curls framing movement
And serenity...
I weave myself into both.

     [touching the ends of eternity]

Where the Butterflies Play

Creep the vines crawling the guarded walls
Peek the rays drawing into my restless mind
Breaking dawn burning off the morning mist
Submitting no longer to a life of trepidation

Living out daily dreams and forgotten fantasies,
letting go of pains and endless sufferings,
releasing thoughts and feelings
trying to make things seem
right in a world of all wrong

Generous soul pour out your torments
through my veins bring to light
in the freshness of a new day
a garden of bountiful harvests
in an untapped sea of love
where the butterflies come to play

A Life of Love and Light

Approaching life with love

Lived with an open heart,

Irrespective of others differences

Fundamentally shining light,

Everyone welcome to join me,

Oneness and unity on mass

Favouring love over hate,

Lighting a path and a way to

Omniscient love in this world,

Vehemently embracing unity

Everything equal as it ought to be,

Attaching ourselves more to peace,

Negating hate, war and jealousy

Dedicating our time to betterment,

Lifting up the whole of humanity

Irresistibly the light is drawing me

Great fully exposing the love in me

Highlighting just how life can be

Trusting in the love and the light.

If We Could Dance

Strumming along with my heartstrings

Drawing me in with each note

Playing the most beautiful love song

Hearing the words that you wrote

Filling in all the gaps

The melody is for me

Beating loud and clear

Setting my heart free

Only distance keeping us at bay

You still have me in your trance

Two hearts apart, beating as one

How I wish we could dance

A soft kiss upon a delicate hand

Holding you close, holding you tight

Slow dancing under moonlit skies

The perfect girl, the perfect night

Blend Away the Stark Edges

Drawing and life are similar
The edges in a drawing are blended away
The tight edges in life soften with time
We love more, and see our fraility more
With blessed time, time we are given
Time to know our edges are soft
Time to know we need a loving redeemer
Time for faith to grow deep
Thanksgiving grows with a deep faith.

Serendipity

And there it was
in all its glory…

Magical
glowing
in endless motion
graciously
lazily
putting on a show
just for me
content with my admiration
drawing me in
enchanting
in sync with my soul
communicating
somehow
a message of
love and peace
of harmony
entranced
time magically
standing still

Just Thoughts For You To Relate Too

Its so much easier to listen to you speak
say the words that are turning over and over
inside of me
panick attacks increased anxiety
but your not in my world
im in my own now
putting my pride aside
drawing but crossing my own lines
my desicion took a wrong turn and once again im left in disbelief
you see i dont hate you
in fact i was so confused for a minute cause i found myself in love with you
my heart drowned in its own blood when I found out what you were really doing to me
im tryna free myself of resentful thoughts
i want back my peace of mind
as i sit back and think
still my emotions are hard to find

Love Loves Love

More often within than ever without
Always begins with the sweetest of sounds
Love loves love
If there ever was doubt

Always on time, never runs late
Love conquers all, rules over hate
Love loves love
Make no mistake

Wish upon, wish upon, wish upon a star
Love takes your hand just as you are
Love loves love
In the drawing of hearts

Brings out in the open the best of intentions
Love holds you close, love always listens
Love loves love
With love as the decision

Looming Pain

My Love, lest I grow, oh, weary of the wait, And get tangled in a web of hate, Forsaken and forgotten, My cruel Maiden, Save me from pain. Oh, do come, Quell my emotion, With sorrow I sit alone drawing me down into a dire fate, My Love, lest I grow, oh, weary of the wait!
